The author lays out the real experience of success in business. You may not agree with his methods but he is honest and honesty is a secret to not losing your money. I'd recommend it to anyone considering starting a business - long before they've committed any money to it. The author lays out the real experience of success in business. My mark of basic value for a business book is "did I learn at least one thing?" I learned at least one thing from this book. I also got tired of hearing about Kennedy's clients, the overuse of whom made this tip over into a sales pitch. My mark of basic value for a business book is "did I learn at least one thing?" Overall not bad, the basis of the information and assistance is good. If you are new to entrepreneurship this may not be the best book. The information is outdated at times and if you dont know that already you could easily spin down the wrong past. I really liked the chapter about employees. We dont have any yet, but it's on the horizon that we will likely need some part time help in the near future. I would definitely be interested in something more modern from Dan Kennedy.
