This is not at all what I expected. The book is like a badly written man page for nmap. It lists all possible nmap switches, but does not explain how they actually work. For example, at one point it shows --traceroute, and says: The information displayed is similar to the traceroute or tracepath commands found on Unix and Linux systems - with the added bonus of Nmap’s tracing being functionally superior to these commands. How is it superior? What does it do different? If you want to read a good book This is not at all what I expected. The book is like a badly written man page for nmap.
