2021: I agree with past me; I wish there was more to this story. Such as, what is up with the other mind breaker? How do they proceed with bringing peace to the Aquarian Age? I wants to know! 2004: this ending makes you wish that there will be more to the series, or a sequeal. it would be just so you can read more about the adventures you know the orion group will face. it was just so good.

I'll be the first to say that it's absolutely been too long between volumes. I believe I last read the previous volume in early 2018, right before we moved into our house, and now, at the end of 2019, I have finally gotten off my butt and read the final volume. As such, there's a lot of information I'd already forgotten that had nothing to do with the general reminder to myself that this series is based off of a tabletop card game in Japan. So going back into it was almost flying blind, and not I'll be the first to say that it's absolutely been too long between volumes. As such, there's a lot of information I'd already forgotten that had nothing to do with the general reminder to myself that this series is based off of a tabletop card game in Japan. So going back into it was almost flying blind, and not even the character intro summaries at the beginning of this volume did much to remind me of who was who and what their connections and motivations were to everyone else. But all in all, I think this was an alright conclusion to the series. Not a good one per se, as there were multiple loose ends left dangling and it felt like there were three individual climaxes to the story, only one of which was actually satisfying, and the whole thing just went so quickly that I was left perplexed and going "what, that's all?" What I think Aquarian Age: Juvenile Orion really needed was either a sequel series (and hey, if there is one out there and I don't know about it, feel free to let me know in a comment on this review,) or it would have absolutely benefited from being spread out over more volumes than just the five it got. The whole thing felt very rushed and half-done, and I really wish we had gotten more than what we did with this. The series overall is an enjoyable read, provided you don't think too much about it, but given the context and complexity of all of the varying factions, their individual powersets, and their relation to each other and to mind breakers as a whole, it's hard not to try putting at least some thought into it all. This has been a somewhat frustrating re-immersion into the series for me, but hopefully in the future whenever I choose to go through it again, I'll be a little less critical. We'll see.

So...i read the first 4 vols back in high school. Reread thwm to complete the series when i bought vol 5. Admittedly, its not as great as i remember. I dont know if it's the translation or not, but there seemed to be alot not explained...and then also a lot that an info dump. Forgot it was also a card game. Cool i guess...maybe that contributed to the plot issues. Just feel like a lot was left open.....and wasn't really a satisfying ending. Still, pretty style....intriguing characters. I can't really comment on this book. I was given the book from a friend that was cleaning out her collection. I have read none of the other books in the series. The art was pretty and it did a good job at the front of trying to explain whom everyone was. I can't really comment on this book. I did not expect to like this but I do like that it's different! It's also short so collecting it for my classroom should be easy. I did not expect to like this but I do like that it's different! It's also short so collecting it for my classroom should be easy.

I am really glad that I followed the impulse to buy these. This series was great. I'm surprised how much the creator managed to fit in such a short story arc. I really liked all the main characters. It was well done. I am really glad that I followed the impulse to buy these. This series was great.
