There are some good recipes in here which will be part of my regular weekly menu But I was surprised to see a lot of recipes that were quite spicy or ones with a lot of fats. Also the inclusion of peppers of any kind was surprising to me because unfortunately green and red peppers are a trigger for me. A couple of funny typos but I've seen them more often in books over the years. I was disappointed that there were so many recipes that includes these ingredients to rely on them to add taste but gl There are some good recipes in here which will be part of my regular weekly menu But I was surprised to see a lot of recipes that were quite spicy or ones with a lot of fats. So that's why I gave it four stars.

A great book that hits the nail on the head and explains exactly what you need to eat and why with shopping lists for food and kitchen appliances and tips on making it work with busy lives it also goes into good detail the reintroduction stage and how not to slip up. Easily the best buy ive ever made.

Mostly a cookbook and diet plan.... If you're looking for an in depth analysis of the FODMAP diet, which eliminates inflammatory food choices, you need to look elsewhere. The book assumes you're already sold on the idea and sets up the framework for a four week diet program, and it does it well. The plan apparently has a 75% success rate among IBS patients, and there is some indication for Ulcerative colitis and crohn's as well, but not enough research to support that. I have Crohn's, and I'm trying this to narrow down irritants. With my GI doc's blessing, the book is good at pointing out this should be vetted first. It makes sense, the 4-6 week trial is doable, and the recipes look good. We'll see what happens. The trick is to maintain balance........

Even though I do not suffer from IBS, my husband and I deal with some gastrointestinal issues that I believe a low-fodmap diet would soothe. At first I was apprehensive about the plan because I thought it would be too restrictive. When I saw all the foods that I would have to eliminate, I was dismayed. But, then I saw the plethora of ingredients that I could eat and am very excited to try the recipes. They seem quite simple to prepare. But, then I saw the plethora of ingredients that I could eat and am very excited to try the recipes. They seem quite simple to prepare. In addition, I really appreciated the great detail of the plan, especially the description of how to prepare for each week. Plus, at some point, one can start adding certain foods back into the diet. I would recommend this book to anyone suffering from gastrointestinal problems. It is a simple and useful book!

This was an excellent book that was not only a cookbook, but helpful guide for people with gut and digestion issues. I thought "Fodmap" was a mistype of foodmap, but interestingly it is an acronym. I will use this book, and the recipes included. Check out this book even if you have not been diagnosed with a digestive disorder! This was an excellent book that was not only a cookbook, but helpful guide for people with gut and digestion issues. If you suffer from IBS and GERD, this is the book for you. Try it for four weeks and you will see a difference. I saw nine within a few days! I am on week two and I will have to restart as I tried a free food at work and my body paid for it. But I am learning about my body better, and the recipes are so tasty so far.

This book is fairly well organized and explains the concepts of a FODMAP diet well. There is a good variety of recipes including most of the important basics. I would recommend this to anyone looking to learn the basics about this diet.
