This is an incredible and very heartwarming (yet heartbreaking) true story of a little girl who will steal your heart. Little Gracie has more wisdom than most adults, and more love than they do too. When she was born, doctors didn't give her mom much hope for anything even remotely resembling a normal life. Gracie was born with life threatening heart defects, a deformity in her spine, club feet, a cleft palate, deafness, and it was assumed low mental abilities. Never assume. It is not a spoiler to tell you Gracie's life won't be long, but it will be full. The book is told in three parts: from her mother's perspective, from her Pastor's perspective (important but redundant), and and the most important, an imagined story Gracie is writing from Heaven. Some people have complained that the writing isn't up to par. However, it is written from the heart, and it's a story that deserves to be told.
