Fun, flirty and sexy. “You’re not shy… you haven’t eased back from me yet. In fact, you’ve put both your hands on my chest.” “Maybe I wanted to check out the muscles that hauled me away from near-death.” “Maybe we should start with exchanging names before you name my pecs.” He was the perpetual nerd and charity case, however Knox Davis vowed to himself to lose his V-card, make so much money that he would never want for anything and enjoy all of life’s pleasures after he survived a horrific Fun, flirty and sexy. “You’re not shy… you haven’t eased back from me yet. Now a successful businessman and infamous womanizer, he’s never considered being in a relationship with a woman for longer than a one night of fun. But when he literally sweeps a blond bombshell of her feet and she in turn captures his interest like no other, he begins to question his resolve to be the eternal bachelor. Madison Abbott moved across the country from Alaska to Washington, D.C. to accomplish three things: get the job of her dreams, meet the half-brother she just recently found out about and find the perfect man to marry and have a family with. She's scored with the first one, on her way to the second, but has gotten a bit sidetracked by the deliciously smart, self-assured and sexy playboy. Can she convince him that they'd be great not just now but forever even if she is his best friend’s little sister? I loved the premise behind the Naked Men blog and after reading Risking it All, the first book in this series, I was really intrigued with the group of men who were already close friends but became even more closely bonded when they survived their ordeal in the Alps. But none more than the self-made millionaire. “He’d waited his whole, lonely, geek-tastic life to finally have friends like this, ho have the camaraderie, the feeling of belonging.” It was a complete delight getting to know Knox and Madison. Each were endearing characters that when together had great chemistry, fun and witty banter that made the pages fly by. I enjoyed all the dates they went on, be it outrageously expensive ones because Knox loved to spend his money to the low key ones because Madison couldn’t care less about his wealth. Of course they all ended up with delicious sexy times. “You’re beautiful, Madison.” “I thought we agreed on no foreplay. Flirting counts as foreplay.” “It’s an accurate assessment of reality. Engineers like me get off on that. Deal with it.” “Okay, then. Your penis is amazing. There’s a fact for you.” Their relationship developed from lust to love at a pace that felt natural even when Madison was a bit too pushy for my taste. They were a perfect match though, both smart and stubborn who filled the empty places they had. The supporting characters, be them male or female, gave the story a great friendship layer that nicely rounded out the story and has me ready to read the next book about Logan, the elusive half-brother. Wanting it All is the second book in the Naked Men series by Christi Barth. It’s a sassy, sweet and fun contemporary romance, great for a weekend read. Told from both points of view. With a happy ending. Oh, did I mention, she’s planning on finding a husband. Knox Davis was the geek who used his smarts to become a billionaire. Knox lives life fast and hard. Emotionally scarred by a near death experience in the Alps as a kid, Knox’s goal was not to die a virgin…well, he’s screwed his way through all that states and then some. I'm sure you can guess where this is heading. Knox meets Madison and boy do they get along... When Knox and Madison meet the “one-night stand” is out of this world and he finds himself wanting a little more. He’s all on board and really enjoying his time with Madison until he discovers that Madison is his best friend’s illegitimate little sister. Quite frankly, Madison was his match intellectually as well as calling him on his party privilege ways until he discovers her relationship with his BFF. This story was flat out fun. Wicked funny banter and friendships that have endured…well a life threatening crisis and so much more, then add in some romance and it makes for some fantastic reading. Now years later he's living and enjoying life one woman at a time. He dates often and rarely repeats. That is until he meets Madison. Madison is new to DC, straight from Alaska. She may have grown up sheltered from some of the things the city throws at her but she knows what she wants and she wants it all. First on her list is to find the man she only recently learned is her brother. Second, find "The One". She meets Knox almost immediately who introduces her to her new roommate and a new great friend. Seems like things are falling into place nicely. When she discovers that Knox is actually very close friends with her brother she is certain fate has set her on this path to accomplish all her goals. Knox however isn't so sure about any of this. Especially once he finds out Madison is actually Logan's sister. Bro code and all. This is a fun and witty story of the journey these two travel to their HEA. It's highly entertaining and definitely a book I recommend.

But first she runs into Knox Davies, one of the five guys doing the “Naked Men” blog, wherein men talk honestly about all manner of subjects. These guys are like brothers, having survived a horrific episode as high school soccer players. Now they’re all successful, wealthy, and of course mega-hot. Knox and Madison spark from the moment they meet. But when she—always upfront—lets him know she wants a ring and stability, Knox is pole-axed, and his friends, who know he seldom makes it to a second date, much less all the way through the night, snicker. Meanwhile Madison calls him on his attitudes, his throwing money around, and also on his unthinking privilege. She’s not acrimonious about it, just upfront, friendly, and fearless. He’s partly pissed and partly jazzed, as he’s seldom met a woman up to his intellectual weight. I know, you’re thinking, there’s a dearth of smart women in Washington D.C.? But this is Romancelandia, so we cut Barth some slack—especially as the banter is wicked funny and fast, and the sex exuberant for both. All Knox’s friends enter the story, watching in amazement as their most relationship-averse pal stumbles blindly into . . . a relationship. Then we encounter Madison’s third goal, which touches on another of the Naked Men, and things accelerate fast. This is such a fun book! The narrative voice is breezy and wisecracking in a way I highly enjoyed, the emotions sharply delineated. I loved the female characters as well as the guys. If I had to creeb, it would be that the climax came rather fast, the moreso as instead of an epilogue, as one usually sees in romances, we finish on a cliffhanger with respect to one of the story threads. But that is a small creeb, as the rest of the book was so enjoyable, and I’ll certainly be on the watch for the next.

A great story with a tenacious heroine. Wanting It All is book 2 in the Naked Men series but it can be read as a standalone without feeling like you missed anything. Each title in the series is about an individual couple with appearances by the other characters in the group. I really enjoyed book 1, which was my first book by Christi Barth, but I loved book 2 which centers on Madison and Knox. We met Knox in book 1; he is the scrawny, geeky kid turned hunky multi-millionaire of the group. Knox has it all now, money, women falling at his feet and a group of men he considers his brothers, but it wasn’t always so. In high-school he was the poor kid who wore hand-me-downs from his friends and he was a skinny geek that most of the kids made fun of. That is until he was adopted by his group of “brothers.” Now, after his mom, they are the most important people in his life. Madison is the new girl in town. She moved to D.C. with several goals in mind: get a great job, find a husband, and connect with her half-brother that she only recently found out about. She meets Knox soon after arriving to begin her dream job at the Library of Congress. They have an instant connection but as time goes on Knox, a love ‘em and leave ‘em kind of guy, doesn’t know what hit him and he gets scared. I loved that Madison was such a strong heroine; she’s a perfect match for Knox, if he will just wake up and realize it. She’s caring and thoughtful and truly enjoys everything she is experiencing in her new environment. She’s a woman who knows what she wants and she’s not afraid to go after it. Ms. Barth’s writing style kept me wanting to read this book straight through; so much so that I got irritated when life forced me to put it down. This series is turning out to be such fun to read. While this book doesn’t end in a cliffhanger – Madison and Knox get their HEA – it left me anxious to read book 3, Giving It All, which will be about Madison’s brother, Logan. I love the set up of this series, these men who have been friends since high school, survived something horrendous and to this day remain friends who are more like family. This hero is smooth, sophisticated, smart, and immensely wealthy and this heroine is brainy, brave, brash and a bit naive but they complement each other in every way and despite their very different ideas on relationships, marriage and family, being together at this time works for them both. Despite the hero’s man-whorish ways I really liked Knox Davies, but he’s one of those super intelligent people who only seem to see things in black and white or more so the way he wants to see them. So I loved when fresh out of Alaska Madison Abbott made him begin to question his just about all aspects of his life. While I liked Madison there were times when I really couldn’t understand if she was just naive or incredibly self assured; I admired her for picking up her life and going after everything she wanted even when it seemed a bit crazy. It was easy to see that people gravitated towards her and her outgoing nature made people comfortable with her right away and while I wanted her and Knox together I felt like she was playing with him without full disclosure and that bothered me a bit. As with the first book, I loved the banter and camaraderie between the “Naked Men” and everything that seems to be coming down the line for them and I’m really excited that it looks like we’ll be seeing much more of the elusive Logan soon! My biggest complaint with this book was the ending seemed a bit rushed and unrealistic. Fun, smart, crazy and a whole lot sexy Wanting It All was engaging and entertaining and a delight to read. She was supposed to be another one night stand right up until he discovered he didn’t want to spend one more night without her. When Knox finds out that the unknown brother Madison is searching for is in fact one of his best friends – things get complicated. What is it with guys? If I live to be 110 I’ll never understand the species. This stupid bro rule… I cannot get involved with my friend’s sister. Really? Why not! Madison is smart, spunky, intelligent and brave – absolutely everything that would make a perfect match for Knox. But he’s dragging his feet on several levels. Madison isn’t about to let Knox’s bullheadedness stop her from convincing him that they are a perfect match. Their banter was priceless and often brought a loud chuckle from my reading corner. These two have chemistry and it was such fun to read their romance, and the bumps along the road as well. These guys were in high school together and played soccer on a team together. While away for a tournament the tour bus crashed and burnt up leaving them hurt and without communication, warmth, and food for three days. Since that day they have found a way to be in each other's lives whether by their blog Naked Men or now living together, while continuing their blog and now their new podcast. Logan has been out of communication bow for too long and they have been trying to find him. If they get out alive, Knox vows to himself and to his friends he is going to use his intellect to become very rich, workout in a gym to develop a god-like body, learn all there is know about sex and how to please a woman, because at this point he was still a virgin, and to become a total player who has a different woman every night of the week. Ten years later, he has made good on all those promises. Enter, Madison Abbott, a librarian who just moved to D.C. from Alaska in search of a husband and to find her half brother. Knox literally runs into Madison on a street corner and his whole world and player status is about to be knocked off it's axis, as the last thing he is looking to do is to marry, ever! Knox and Madison definitely have explosive chemistry, and their conversations are quite entertaining. I enjoyed the lively banter between them. I loved Madison there were times she was straight to the point, “I came here to bring the bread. But yes, I also came for sex.” Down went his zipper. “You don’t get to call all the shots. And my break from the Library isn’t that long. So we need to get to it.” I really loved this book Knox and Madison were perfect for each other.

Wanting It All is the second novel I’ve read by author Christi Barth. It is also the second book in her Naked Men series. The great thing about this one, it can still be read as a standalone. Mind you, I loved the first book, so I wanted to read the rest of the series, but you definitely don’t have to in this case. It is told from an alternative third person point-of-view, there is no cheating and yes, it has an HEA. Just like the first book, it is a great read. Knox and Madison really hit it off. I’m not joking about that, I mean right from the get go. This was a bit of a different read as well because due to the circumstances surrounding Knox and his friends, and their past, Knox has made it pretty much a mission to enjoy life. That includes women, lots of women. Madison is one of those characters you just love to love. She can come off sheltered and a bit naive if you don’t pay attention, but she also knows how to handle Knox very well. At first, I wondered if it was a bit manipulative on her part, the way she went about things. However, you find out her reasoning and it does make sense. Just like Knox’s does. These characters both have issues, but they’re fun. They’re intelligent as well and their banter reflects that. Also, towards the end of the book, you get a lead into the next book in the series. I have to admit, I saw it and suspected it coming, but I still like the way it was handled. That all being said, a wonderfully written continuation of the series for Ms. Barth. A four star read that I would definitely recommend. **ARC Provided by author via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.**

Knox is the nerdy bullied kid of the soccer team who has turned himself into a wealthy, successful, gorgeous, bed-hopping hunk. Sounds like he'd be a jerk, but he's really not. He's loyal to his friends (to a fault), cares deeply for them, and just wants to keep reminding himself that he's moved on from his geeky beginnings. Madison is just great! She's warm and loving and full of adventure. She is one of those people you just can't help but like. She is basically a planner, works hard, sets a goal and achieves it, but she leads with her heart and just believes the best of everyone. When she accidentally meets Knox, she starts to fall in love, despite his bad reputation with women. The story follows the development of their relationship, with Knox kicking and screaming. There's some mention of the Naked Men podcast, but it's not actually a huge part of the story. The friends are all important parts of the story, and their camaraderie and entertaining banter is fun and light, while still sometimes facing tough discussions. This was excellent, and I really enjoyed it. Thankfully, I have the next in the series ready to go and look forward to reading it.

Naked men refers to a blog they started, where they can talk open and honestly. This eventually turned into a radio show as well as their regular occupations. This book was about Knox. The biggest difference Knox has with the rest of the Naked Men is that he didn't come from money as his friends did, he went to school with them on a scholarship. He is obsessed with money but gives freely to his friends, his brothers. Intellectually, he is a genius, Relationships doesn't enter his vocabulary. Being HOT and rich, he has no problem attracting women. He finds them boring for the most part because they are fluff for the most part and not academic like he is. Even though he doesn't realize it, his life changes the day he meets Madison. Madison has moved to DC to start a dream job at the Library of Congress. She is also their to track down a newly discovered half brother and to find the man of her dreams. Knox finds her refreshing as she is also very intelligent. She is also very bold and has no problem expressing her opinions. At first he is very annoyed by them but honestly becomes intrigued as they challenge his thoughts, stir up his intellect. She is also NOT impressed by his money. She was raised by a single mother, moved a lot and times were often sparse financially. Will Knox be able to walk away? Will Madison achieve any of her goals? Madison is definitely a challenge. She is smart and opinionated and has goals in mind. In her head, there is no give on any alteration of her goals. As we all know, life does not necessarily happen as we plan it! As disturbing as it is for her, she will discover just that. Madison "humanizes" Knox. She helps him think about the people behind his decisions which his analytical mind never did. His human side is for his "brothers". Knox sees them as a temporary fling, whether it be a week or a month. He can't comprehend not becoming bored and actually staying with someone for the rest of his life. This couple really teach each other a few facts of life. I like that Madison is not impressed by Knox' money nor will she not give her opinions on something if she has one. I like the feeling of "impact" I got as this couple come to realize that the other is truly important to the other, through the great writing I really felt the impact. I totally recommend this book and look forward to the story of the next "brother". Thanks for a great story Christi!

My Review: I do really, really like this series. The premise of the series is that these five men are tied together by a tragedy they survived in Italy in high school when their bus crashed in the Alps leaving them hurt and stranded for 3 days. Knox's pre-story of that incident is particularly bittersweet. His regret then was that he might die a virgin. I love that and it makes how he's spent the last ten years such a good story. He's spent the last ten years making up for that in spades. He's the man-whore of the group. He grew up, filled out, and used his big brain to train himself how to seduce women...any and every one of them that tempted him. Madison has lived a very different life from Knox. She grew up in Alaska and is as far from materialistic as a person can be (which is VERY unlike billionaire Knox...who has made all that cash himself). While they have very similar beginnings, Madison is fresh and honest...to a fault. I love how outspoken she is. She doesn't hold anything back. I love how she questions him and holds him accountable...something that no one else in his life does. She's awesome with Knox and the chemistry between the two of them makes reading their story simply fun and entertaining. I really, really enjoyed them together. And there is no talking about these books without talking about the bromance between the five guys (the ACSs). I love the five of them so much. My favorite scenes in these books are when they are all in the scenes together. They've been best friends and have counted on each other for a long time and that shows in how they call each other on their actions. But I love that Madison fits in with the five of them without Knox, too. There were some twists in her story line that I can't wait to see played out in the next book. I truly love this series so much. I definitely recommend this and the first book in the series and am counting the days until book #3 is out. I'm so ready to read Logan's story! I received a complimentary copy of this book in return for an honest review.

The reason or prejudgment is I was afraid of a repeat of the first book. These men although sexy, committed to their jobs and their brotherhood, and funny have proved to come across as way to cocky and arrogant and proud of their player ways. Its ok to treat a woman a certain way as long as they leave with a smile on their face. They give no chance at love or a future with someone. I understand a few who blame their parents but for all five men to practically feed off each other’s conquest does not sit well with me. Luckily for me, this fact was toned down and I was able to enjoy the book that much more! Knox was going to be a favorite just because his awesome nerdy-ness. Yes, like Madison brains are a huge turn on! Then reading his story about his business takeovers and how he carelessly says no leftovers when it came to women including his sex maps, I lost love for him. Madison is the one who I absolutely adored in this book. Gah, her tenacity, brashness, and go-getter attitude makes you want to befriend her and root for her. She gave Knox a run for his money. I totally loved how she ran circles around him, getting him all dizzy and totally making him fall in love with her without even a second thought. Despite these men being proud players with no apologies or intention of changing, it has been a real delight seeing two of the men, Griff and Knox, get knocked down a few pegs and put in their place. Madison was THE perfect match for Knox because she had a plan that she went for no matter what everyone said about it. She had an explanation for every argument. Back to the Naked Men I cannot wait to read the rest of these men meet their matches! *I was gifted a copy of this book from the JeepDiva in exchange for an honest review.

Madison heads to DC from Alaska not only for a new job but to find a brother she didn't know she had until recently. Upon arriving and taking in the big city she meets a man who saves her and wants to spend time with him but there is also the fact that she is looking for love and HEA but Knox isn't that guy. Knox was a total geek who has become a successful billionaire. After surviving the bus crash he didn't want to die a virgin. Since then he keeps it simple with women and they know exactly what he does or doesn't want. While him and Madison get along there is a few things bothering Knox but it's going to take something big like falling in love to keep the woman who has him tied up in knots. The story was different and fell on the cute and fun side. These two had chemistry but at times I didn't really feel the warmth between them. The sex scenes were good and Barth did an excellent job in having there feelings come in the mix. I also enjoyed the twist on who sister Madison actually was and now I'm so waiting for his book. This is a fun and fast read from a series that I'm enjoying and hopefully the next book will be just as good. I want to hear more about the blog and the radio station since it's how these men communicate.

Madison has some pretty crazy ideas and plans in her life, particularly about marriage, and at first I thought she was a bit pushy and uppity if thats the right way to put it. No doubt about it though her and Knox seem to be a great match. Of course when her other reason for moving from Alaska to NY comes to light, it threatens to derail everything and has so much potential for disaster. Logan is absent in this book still and I really would like to meet more of him and reading his book will be really interesting. I don't want to ruin anything for anyone, but this one had a great ending with a bit of a cliff-hanger as well, so Im pretty keen for the next book. Highly recommend this series. Fun and easy and quick to read.

It is always a win to see what will make the love 'em/leave 'em guy fall to his knees. For Knox, it has to be brains and beauty. Madison has secrets too. I knew he was hooked when he stood up for her to his best friend. Grab the series. Great story!

review and I really enjoyed it :) don't be discouraged by the fact that it's the second book in a series, because it can totally be read as a standalone :) in fact, it was my first book written by this author, so you can trust me when I tell you that you will have no troubles getting all the connections and stuff ;) it was definitely a fun contemporary romance :) yes, there were small things that kept bothering me a bit throughout the whole book, but the writing style was so fantastic, that it wasn't too bad ;) so let me tell you a bit more about all my thoughts :) I have to start with our main couple :) Knox is a genius :) and that's no joke... with super high IQ he's absolutely brilliant :) after surviving a very traumatic event with his friends when they were still in high school, the five of them are still super close after all these years, that they even live together :) but more about them later :) Knox has a problem with commitment... well, it's not really a problem, more of a situation where he clearly states that no woman can hold his attention for too long, so his "relationships" can be counted in days... but he's open and honest about all that, so it didn't really bother me... :) Madison on the other hand... ;) well, how to put it best... ;) Madison moved to D.C. with a plan... not only that, but it's a Grand Plan ;) capital letters and everything ;) it includes, among a few other things, finding a husband... :) and she's very determined to accomplish that :) and hey, I am all for making plans, lists and everything, but not like Madison... ;) not everything in life can be planned ahead so that you just check off points on your list... so there were moments during this story when her sticking to that plan and sheer stubborness about not admitting that maybe not everything have to go according to that, sometimes were tiring... there were moments when I felt like she was being too pushy, steamrolling a little bit other people opinions, especially Knox's about relationships... again, it's not like I wanted to smack her but it definitely irked me from time to time :) so when you mix these really different people together, you can expect sparks ;) and that attraction definitely was between them from the start :) especially since Madison actually is different than all of the other women that Knox met before her... ;) I loved her honesty and the way they were together :) they challenged and influenced each other to change :) and even though I would love to see a bit bigger change in Madison, I really enjoyed their romance :) Now about some secondary characters :) so there's definitely the other four blood brothers :) Griffin (who actually is the hero of the previous book, the first one in this series), Josh, Riley and Logan :) Logan's book will actually be next, but I honestly have to say that I don't care about the order of them, because they are all so interesting and different, that I am curious about each and every one of them ;) they are definitely fun individually, but the best scenes are the group ones, when you can really see the banter and bonds between all of them :) besides the guys, there are of course a few lovely ladies in this book as well :) there's Chloe (Griffin's girlfriend), her friend Summer and my personal favourite, Annabeth :) she's cynical and sarcastic and I absolutely adored her :) hopefully, she will get her own book :) I am torn if I would prefer to see her with one of the guys or someone new ;) I guess we will discover that in the future ;) All in all I truly enjoyed this book :) the writing style was definitely my favourite part :) even though there were parts that irritated me a little... mainly Madison and her everyone-wants-to-get-married-just-not-everyone-knows-it-yet opinion... *sighs* we are all different for a reason, and maybe that's why it kept bugging me about her... how she kept pushing her opinions on other people... again, mainly on Knox about relationships... but besides that I've had so much fun reading this book that I will definitely go back and check not only other stories written by this author, but specifically the first book in this series... and of course, I will keep an eye out for the next installment :) because her writing style was so entertaining, with a bunch of diverse characters, that I'm thinking my issues with this book were based purely on my personal preferences as a reader, and I will enjoy another couple even more :) but don't get me wrong, I can wholeheartedly recommend you this book :) it was hilarious and endearing and such a quick read :) I think that a lot of you will absolutely fall in love with it :) XOXO A

Griff and Chloe were cute so I thought I would give the second book a try to find out which of the confirmed bachelors would be the next to fall. Knox's childhood was a far cry from the life he has built for himself today. As the son of an unwed teenage mother, he was loved but their life was a constant struggle to make ends meet. To make it worse, he was a highly intelligent boy who loved books and all things scientific while wearing hand me down clothing so it earned him the attention of the many bullies of the world. Griff, Riley, Josh and Logan took him into their group and became his family before their nightmare trip overseas which only solidified their bond. His mission in life after that became all about making enough money to take care of his mother and best friends to the end of their days ensuring they all wanted for nothing. Oh yeah, his second goal? Ensuring that he never missed out on the company of many and varied women. Madison just moved to DC from Alaska, and she is a unique individual to say the least. She grew up in the Alaskan Bush with a decided lack of stability, moving from place to place with her mom who also happened to be a doctor catering to those who embrace wilderness living. That meant uncertainty in living arrangements and how to get the next meal given the reliance on the barter system in that culture and it gave her a singular perspective on how to approach life. She knew that if she wanted something, she had to make a plan to go after it, no holds barred and not accepting no for an answer. I have a few words to describe her: pragmatic, optimistic, determined, and quite frankly, slightly delusional. What I cannot begin to describe is how much I disliked her character. I am all for a strong female lead who knows what she wants and pursues it, but Madison took it to a whole new level that left me in awe (not in a complimentary way) and affronted on behalf of females everywhere. I was waiting for her to break out a club, knock Knox over the head cavewoman style, and lock him in a room until she could make him realize he should love her. Seriously, she was that determined that her Grand Plan for her life was right and he needed to see it that way - because she said so. I was waiting for her to start channeling Annie from Misery, but she was too wrapped up in her little dream world where everything works out exactly according to her plan. Add in to the mess that she has a long lost half brother she never knew about that just so happens to be Logan, Knox's best friend and one of the Naked Men, and I was ready to stop reading entirely. Yet for some reason I kept turning the pages hoping against hope that it would get better... and yet it didn't. I don't think I have ever wanted a male lead to walk away from a female lead just on the principle of proving her wrong so badly until now, HEA be damned. I hesitate to use the word hate, so I will say I strongly detested her character. While I have some curiosity what will happen in the future when Logan finally decides to return to DC from traveling the world, right now I need to put this book in the rearview mirror and move on.

I don't know that Washington, D.C. is the perfect place to go husband hunting but hey, that's just me! But what she doesn't expect is for nearly all the pieces of her 'Grand Plan' to fall into place almost immediately, which is what happens when she almost takes out a bystander's eye with her selfie stick. That chance encounter opens the door to new friendships and ultimately leads to her brother but the biggest thing is that Madison finds everything she wants in a man in Knox Davis and she recognizes the void in his life that he has filled with the pursuit of material things because she has the same one. Knox has come a long way from the geeky outsider who had to depend on handouts to a tech genius with a fortune to last several lifetimes, but his past has left him with a huge appetite for living life to the fullest which includes making his fortune even larger and enjoying every variety of females there is out there. Madison is a game changer for him in every way because his wealth does not impress her, she makes him want more than the usual one night stand from her and she challenges him in many ways, something he's not used to. I enjoyed this story so much, laughing out loud several times at the dialogue and interactions and my copy is filled with lots of highlights of my favorite quotes. One of the fun things is the banter between Madison and Knox, which left me with a huge smile on my face! Another thing is Madison's boundless optimism and her refusal to entertain failure. The lifelong friendship among the guys as well as the brand new friendship among the women was also something to enjoy. I'm really glad that less positive reviews of the first book did not discourage me from reading this one. If anything, I'm sure I'll enjoy reading it too and for sure I will be looking forward to the rest of the series. Furthermore did Logan only apologize because Knox threatened to kick him out of the house or was it genuine? Logan has a lot to answer for and I hope we get to see that in his book.

I think I may have enjoyed this book a little better than the first book. It seems that the series is gaining momentum as it goes. I complained with the first book that it was a little long winded but that was not the case with this one. It didn't drag, I wasn't skimming pages and it kept on point. In fact, I finished it in no time. That kink has definitely been worked out. As far as the characters go, I really liked Madison. Yes she had high goals and expectations and she was a little bit "Disney" but her bubbly personality was infectious. Again (like in the first book) I wasn't as big a fan of the leading man. He was a womaniser with a map of where his conquests came from and a no apologies attitude towards it. Like Madison, I did find his brains sexy but his way with women was less than desirable. In fact, it seemed like a common trait with the "Naked Men." A good romance happens when someone comes along that makes you want to be a better person and I guess that is the point of this series. Finding that special someone, the good, the bad, the ugly and everything in between. For that, I can forgive Knox and his undesirable past. It did make for some great reading whether or not I agreed with his actions or not. Barth provided plenty of heat but didn't let it overtake the story or become repetitive. It was a nice balance and enhanced the chemistry way more than a ton of between the sheets action would have. I was pleased that the story didn't fall into the "wash, rinse, repeat" cycle (my term for it) that I find many romance books are guilty of. There was a little more depth because of it. I am extremely curious about the rest of the "Naked Men" and that will keep me reading as the series progresses. I have a feeling that I will find my favourite leading man in one of the future instalments. Both Josh and Logan are on my radar!

Knox is a successful entrepreneur but he hasn’t always been financially secure or comfortable in his own skin. As a teenager he was a geeky awkward kid who was forced to play soccer. That soccer team led him to play at an international tournament in Italy where he was involved in a bus accident. While in the cave with his friends he made a vow to never let life or opportunity pass him by again, especially when it came to women. Madison is making her dreams come true. Phase one, job in Washington Knox is a successful entrepreneur but he hasn’t always been financially secure or comfortable in his own skin. Phase one, job in Washington DC at the National Library at the Smithsonian. Phase two, find a husband, and phase three, find her half-brother that she just recently learned about. Knox quickly realized that Madison is not local to the area. She doesn’t exactly try to fit in but he likes her spunk. From the first moment, Madison had Knox off his game. Starting with where they went to dinner, it’s his stomping ground, he never takes his dates there. Madison quickly has Knox second guessing all sorts of things, like how he conducts business. She’s not impressed with his money and really doesn’t appreciate him flashing it around. Then the real bombshell happens, her half-brother turns out to be Knox best friend, putting Madison solidly in the hands off territory among the friends. Now, Knox finds himself in territory that he doesn’t know how to handle. He’s falling for Madison and that was something he never wanted, much less to fall for his best friends sister. His relationship with Madison is also causing tension with his friends. When push comes to shove can he let Madison into his life and his heart for the long term or will he stay convinced that his life is meant for bachelorhood. I couldn’t wait for this book to come out. I got hooked with book one and I can say that this is a series that I will continue to watch. Christi’s Naked Men series is one of my favorites. You could definitely read this one without having read book 1 but I think you will enjoy it more if you start at the beginning.
