I'll start off by saying, I'm Baptist. I enjoyed the book very much. Some of the jokes are corny, but elicited a chuckle. Others made me lol and would be appreciated by almost everyone (in my humble opinion). They aren't just appropriate for clergy, but for anyone who likes a good laugh or enjoys telling jokes. Some were a bit off color, were truly funny, but would be met with an "oh, my!" response at my church in particular. I confess that the ones I enjoyed most were the few that made me gasp, I'll start off by saying, I'm Baptist. I enjoyed the book very much. Some of the jokes are corny, but elicited a chuckle. I confess that the ones I enjoyed most were the few that made me gasp, followed by hearty laughter, not only because they are funny but because I know that if one of them was told from a Baptist pulpit, the pulpit committee would be holding an emergency meeting! I recommend the book to anyone, Christian or not. But if you've ever been accused of being straight-laced, prudish or easily offended, you have been warned. None of the jokes are blasphemous. If you have a good sense of humor and are not one of the folks described above, you've got to check this out!

This is a Goodreads win review. This book is supposed to make others laugh. I really do not like the idea of putting jokes into the sermon to spice it up. I want a relevant sermon to help me in the week.
