Despite the forgivable art, this had great potential. I really, really wanted to love it. In fact, the story gets more intriguing as the main character makes his way to Scotland. The creepy atmosphere. The questions raised. The slowly revealed town secrets. But all these seemed pointless with that final reveal. Kinda weird they decided to go for such ending, considering how the average reader hates it. Ugh!

I was drawn to this comic cover and it's synopsis. So I picked it .....risky because graphic novels are not cheap here. Pros: The graphic was well done and was consistent throughout the comic. The graphic colours are dark and goes well with the theme of the book which is mysterious and gothic This is a one book comic .......no follow up so that is a good news for me The storyline is good .....its not confusing ..... Cons: I was disappointed that they did not show the death scene properly ....... For m I was drawn to this comic cover and it's synopsis. For me, although the story was good ........its was slightly dragging at one part .......then it was back on pace and then it was predictable for me ......its kinda figured out the ending .....bummer I dunno but sometimes they cut scene from one to another scene by mere page that I always thought I was missing a page or so ....... The creepy shadow .......was .....ok lol This graphic novel reminds me of Tales from the crypt. This is a good book I would give it 3 1/2 ......

Perhaps the only thing that I can complain about in this book is that it doesn't push its conceit quite far enough. The drug element is all but forgotten about after the first act. The ending, which I don't want to ruin but has a distinct M. Night Shyamalan quality to it, comes so far off the left field that it almost feels like a cope out. Nothing had led us to suspect that possibility so when it comes it's not quite fulfilling, just surprising. Nothing had led us to suspect that possibility so when it comes it's not quite fulfilling, just surprising. Which is a shame because up until that point they had build a very interesting spooky gothic setting that is squandered by the last two pages (literally). I still enjoyed it, but I wish they had just taken a little bit longer to drop the other shoe.

Woah. Plot twist ending!! Holy crap! That was super good. I am hoping to see if there is more to this than just the one story. Big takeaway here, there is so much to lose when your morality and mortality is called into battle. Like, do you want to live? Or do you want to LIVE? It was a pretty crazy ride from start to finish. Will read again, that's for sure! Woah. Plot twist ending!! Holy crap! That was super good. I am hoping to see if there is more to this than just the one story. Disappointing

As far as graphic novels go this one is lame. It reads more like an old right-wing christian comic book as opposed to anything new and spectacular. Good book for the toilet

Started off well and great art throughout, but the ending had one of the worst cop outs in storytelling and a personal hate of mine, thoroughly let down
