YESSSSSS, I love answers. And was it a coincidence that I just happened to read Whatever happened to the man of tomorrow? I think not!!

Not who I would have been for the faux Clark Kent to be, but it is definitely unexpected. Hopefully this continues to be a decent crossover.

That was quite surprising. I wasn't expecting that reveal for who is responsible for Jon going missing, but it keeps the story interesting. By the time be of this issue it seems Clark is on his own in figuring out where to find Jon. There is a lot of visual references to various continuities of the DC universe. The villain is very much child like in his approach for vengeance, which makes him unpredictable and dangerous. Not the reveal I was expecting tbh. I thought mystery Clark Kent was going to have something to do with that Genetic place.

I fell off of the Superman titles shortly after Rebirth because I could not get invested in the characters. After checking this out, I might have to look back on the earlier issues. I was aware of the mystery behind Clark Kent's appearance and this is the issue where the pay-off comes. I thought Jurgens did a great reveal. In the places where there was a lot of text, I read every word because I had been sucked in. The build up and the explanations worked. Look at that! A crossover that starts off in a genuinely interesting manner. Who'dathunkit. Look at that! A crossover that starts off in a genuinely interesting manner. Who'dathunkit.
