Francesco is one of the few who practices what he preaches. He relates each topic in the book to his own story, helping readers visualize how they can implement each tip into their own life and routine. I recommend trying out the 30-day challenge and seeing how you, too, can accomplish more in less time.

"Live Like Fiction" took all of the anxiety of progressing both personally and professionally and simmered it down into an extremely engaging and interactive process. This was such a memorable read and I'd recommend it to anyone looking to elevate themselves through creativity and storytelling. Francesco's book is an enlightening read into a journey of fulfilling your potential. It is filled with interesting stories and frameworks that will help you to live more with purpose. It is concise and to the point! And if you are not convinced yet, read his Medium series "Frankly Speaking" that is well illustrated and instructive as a sample :) Francesco's book is an enlightening read into a journey of fulfilling your potential. I wish I'd had Francesco's book when I was 24 and binge-watching The O.C. while trying to figure out what I wanted to do with my life. I could have used his practical take on finding one's purpose, building a network, and adopting behaviors that lead to success. But it's still useful now -- particularly the thought-provoking activities and science-based research. Definitely recommend for the recent grad, or anyone searching for a professional path forward. I won a copy of this book during a Goodreads giveaway. I am under no obligation to leave a review or rating and do so voluntarily. I am paying it forward by passing this book along to a business organization that offers business skills, hope, and dreams to be used in their ministry.

Live Like Fiction is a best utilized as a tool. When I first received the book, I was expecting to devour it in a single setting - the book itself is light on text blocks and nicely designed, perfect binge reading. However, I resisted the urge, and I spread out the book's instruction as it suggests. I'm glad I did. After graduating, I feel like I have frequent bouts of "I have no idea what I'm doing, but I want to do it all." Live Like Fiction felt like just the right dose of coaching and inspiration to help push me to continue toward my audacious goals.

Live Like Fiction first draws you in with the colorful, well-designed cover. It has small details throughout the book that give it even more of a personal touch. Chapters are color and shape-coded, a combination I have never seen in other books. Regarding context, the activities really made me think. I won this book in a Goodreads Giveaway. I don't read much self-help books so I'm not familiar with the genre - I just picked this book because I liked the title. The book itself is beautifully designed and laid out. I like the small size too as it makes it easy to slip the book into a bag. I dutifully did the exercises the first half of the month and then lost interest - though I did read it all the way through. There's plenty of solid advice in this book. There's plenty of solid advice in this book. (Though, being female, I suspect sending ten follow up e-mails to a potential employer would come of more as "desperate" than "interested".) I feel like a lot of advice is better suited to someone who works in an organization than someone who is self-employed. I suppose my biggest disappointment was I hoped that the book would actually apply the successful behavior found within the fictional world to the real one. I probably just didn't read the description very well. But then again, success and happiness don't usually make for good fiction. This is probably exactly what someone is looking for, just not me.
