She still a push over, book 28 and it's like she still haven't learn or grow. Good read but the character has no growth. She still a push over, book 28 and it's like she still haven't learn or grow. Good read but the character has no growth.

The mysteries change, but the character never does. These would be so much better if Jill would actually learn her lessons about lying, being rude, or being a manipulative twat. It was funny in the beginning, but after the first few books it's just tedious. Instead of being a one-trick pony with cheap gags and puns (some of which are a real stretch) Adele could spread her wings with some meatier fare, much like she did in the earlier books which included somewhat more harrowing situations and more time in Candlefield with characters we've come to know. Also there's a really rich story featuring CASS that has gotten short shrift in the most recent books. Maybe worry less about churning out so many novels so quickly and more about deepening the content into some savory stew rather than thin broth. After so much light fare I'm going to need a helping of Tolkien to balance my palate.

A light enjoyable read This is a series I’ve enjoyed from the beginning. It’s a little like checking in on an old relative. I’m ready for Adele to throw a spanner in the works though.

Funny relaxing read I don’t want to say too much and spoil the story for anyone. I will say that anyone interested in this book should start on the first book of the series, obviously. I love the situations she gets herself in but can’t help but think why she hasn’t just cast a spell to dampen any sound from outside the house while she’s sleeping? lol it’s just an easy read and it’s been perfect for me during a stressful time. I never know what exactly to say in reviews. It’s fun, read it!

Adele who?? I highly enjoy this series! I love when authors through things in about their thought process while writing their books. I laughed a little too much when Ms. Abbott did in this book. It was really cute and it was something I had wondered about myself. I highly recommend this series all 28 books and the rest to come!! Read them in order or you will be lost...kinda like Winky is when it comes to Salmon!

Lost sleep and Grandma’s craziness If Jill could only stop the madness! Grandma wants her to win the Elite Witch competition, her sister needs help her husband keeps losing flowers for another contest, a company has a machinery problem, a man gets kidnapped and her friend is missing. Its all in a weeks work along with the hot tub parties in the neighborhood. When will the madness end?

Jill has here hands full It seems that the world is imploding for Jill as she contends with neighbours with a Rubadub, toy trains and more clowns. Add to this Winky and his new venture, Kathy and her new venture and clashes with the landlord again, then a matter of a kidnapping case and her grandmother up to her own tricks and a factory in need of help. Complexed it was but it was a little bitty but had some fun moments. Not one of my favourites but still a good read.

Another Winner! I have thoroughly enjoyed reading each wonderfully wacky book of this series! Author Adele Abbott masterfully weaves a captivating yarn with crime, snarky humor, the paranormal, and family using incredibly engaging characters to keep you reading to the very end AND hungry for more! I highly recommend this series!!!

Fun and entertaining I enjoyed reading this installment of Jill’s crazy life. From turning tables to flowers gone missing and a surfing display that might get Grandma in trouble, things were really hopping in this book. Jill’s tendency to lie was a theme in this book while custard crepes took more of a backseat this time.

Jill's done it again. She's managed to figure out the cases she took on and some extras. Looking forward to the Elite Competition and whatever happens next. Jill's done it again. I am really loving this third set of 12 books. Jill's investigations are better, Winky is as entertaining as ever, and Grandma is a work of art. Keep it going.
