Though he gives little in the way of biographical data, if the photograph on his bio page is indeed the author he does indeed command our attention! Now he continues his new series – THE BILLIONAIRE’S CONSORT of which this is the initial volume. Peter writes love stories, romances that involve men, and his manner in bringing these stories to life is very polished. He knows how to grab our attention with a fine opening, this being our introduction to Caine – ‘I was holding a cup of coffee in each hand when I used my hip to push the wooden door open, and I walked into the quiet office. Jenna looked up at me over the rim of her glasses from her seat behind the large desk, scarred from years of use, frozen fingers poised above the keyboard. “Uh oh,” I said, setting the warm coffee on the desk in front of her. “I know that look and it’s never good. Did I have a cancellation or something?” “Not exactly.” She took a sip of her coffee and I sat on the edge of the desk, waiting. Jenna had been with me at Crafted Image Media since day one, and there was no rushing her. When she let out a heavy sigh, my stomach tightened. “Caine, there’s an article about you trending online…Someone’s spilled the beans about the club’ “The Billionaire’s Club? I haven’t been there in years..” “Caine, it’s about the other club...the Short Leash club” - Caine Cole: Conservative Motivational Speaker or Sexual Deviant?’ The prelude is explained in the plot’s synopsis: ‘Caine Cole is burned out. He’s built his million-dollar lifestyle brand on a lie - hiding his brooding personality behind an upbeat, motivational facade. A facade that takes a huge hit when someone uploads some particularly damning footage of Caine to the internet. Caine needs to rehabilitate his image - fast.’ To make things clear, The Billionaire Club is for wealthy men to match themselves with high quality ingles who agree to a relationship bound by contract. That being said, we meet Shelton – ‘Shelton Greene never dreamed that his teenage crush would be a member of The Billionaire Club. Years ago, Shelton wouldn’t have dared to think about approaching Caine - but things have changed now. Accepting Caine as his patron should be a no brainer - but Shelton’s looking for love. If only Caine could open himself up to it as well...’ Bingo! A new romance is launched. Open the book and enjoy a well-written, erotic novel with a lot of twists that keep the tension rising. A fine evening’s read.

I really enjoyed this story as the relationship developed. I like the way the author made the characters personality so real. The story flowed consistently and kept my attention. The Narrator Daniel James Lewis did an excellent job with the emotions of the characters. I will be listening or reading the rest of this series. I was given a free copy and this is a voluntary review.

COMMUNICATION IS THE KEY TO EVERYTHING I received this book for free and am giving my honest and voluntary review Caine is a motivational speaker and is an fledging entrepreneur. They meet in the club and decide to try to make a go at a relationship for different reasons. Peter delves into their psyches and problems with a direct hand and exposes their flaws. I was intrigued with the way he solved their issues to make the book enjoyable.

Peter Styles is a gifted author, he creates stories that are interesting, easy to follow and relate to. The characters are complex and nicely developed. Caine Cole is a successful motivational speaker, he has made a career of selling positiveness and a name for himself. While talking to a friend at a BDSM club someone over hears the conversation and sells it to the media. The conversation was not intended for the public’s ears because it was full of negativity and it was damaging to his brand. He starts to trend on social media but not in a good way so he needs to find a way to make himself look better in the public eye again or maybe even rebrand his image. He comes up with a plan but to get it rolling he needs to find a consort to be by his side. Shelton Greene, is trying to make it on his own, he wants to show his parents he could make it with out them. He needs to do something fast because his over protective Mother still keeps tabs on him and sees he is not doing too well financially. He opts to sign up to be a consort at the Billionaire’s club. When he sees his older brother’s friend, the guy he had a crush on he goes to talk to him. Caine has a proposition for him, it is not the relationship Shelton was looking for but he signs up anyway. I loved the chemistry between Caine and Shelton, Caine fought it at first thinking he was too young. Things did not exactly go smooth but when Shelton finally grew a pair and spoke up Caine saw him for the man he was. I liked how everything plays out in this book, it is plotted out nicely and there is never a dull moment. There is plenty of drama, angst, some heartfelt moments and some hot romance. Peter Styles, thank you for this great story and the emotional rollercoaster ride. I listened to the Audible edition, Daniel James Lewis is a talented narrator and voice artist. He did a great job portraying the characters, bringing them to life and giving each their own voice, personality and attitude. You could hear how much heart he puts into his work as he projects the character’s emotions into his performance. He is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank for you this great listen🎧

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the second book in the The Billionaire's Consort series. In this book, Caine is a motivational speaker and he is overheard talking about how hard it is to be positive all the time and complaining about some clients at a BDSM club during a private conversation with a friend. The story was sold to the tabloids causing Caine to have problems with some clients and some cancellations. Caine is friends with Walter, another billionaire we met in the first book, and another member of the Billionaire Club. Walter tells Caine there is a gathering that night to introduce new consorts and tells Caine it might be good for his image to have a steady companion. Shelton is a young man who runs his own business arranging outings for people that want to cross items off their bucket list. Shelton grew up wealthy, but he wants to make it on his own. When he is given the opportunity to join as a consort, he is unsure about it, but agrees to go to the meeting. Shelton is surprised to see Caine there, he was a friend of Shelton's older brother that Shelton has a crush on since first meeting him years before. Caine is older than Shelton, but he remembers him and they begin to talk. They are attracted to each other, but Caine thinks Shelton is too young, but Shelton is determined to convince him otherwise. They agree to an arrangement where Caine will help with Shelton's business and Shelton will be Caine's partner, and Caine can indulge in his Dom side with Shelton. Shelton also wants Caine to give their relationship a real effort and for them to be together. Things go well, but soon Caine is more focused on his business and neglecting Shelton. Shelton has to decide if he can be with Caine like that. I enjoyed this book. I really liked Shelton. I think he was smart and driven. I love how he stood up for himself and he wanted to build his business and not live off his parents. Caine cared for Shelton, but i think he was used to being alone and not thinking about anyone else and how they felt. I think Caine also realized what he needed to be happy and to be true to himself. Good one.

This is a steamy, entertaining and dramatic. Caine is a motivational speaker, he created an upbeat, positive and happy persona at the beginning of his career. Now he's exhausted and frustrated by it. And he was overheard saying exactly that, which put his company ito a nosedive. Shelton is the younger son of very rich parents who wants to succeed on his own and is determined to find a way to do it. So Shelton goes to The Club looking for a patron as a way to make money, and to satisfy his own personal kinks. Caine goes to The Club as a way to relieve some stress. They've met before, Caine is a college classmate of Shelton's older brother. When they recognize each other they talk for a while, but Caine leaves thinking that there can't be anything between then because of the age difference. Shelton has had a crush on Caine for years, and isn't willing to let this chance to be with him to passing him by. After a few dates they decide to sign a contract, but even that doesn't help the drama and hurt feelings between them. And working to help each other is taking all their time. Caine is hot and cold, sometimes unfeeling. Shelton is star struck, and a little needy. But they make a great team, business wise, and personally. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.

This is my first Peter Styles book and I was totally taken in. He writes with a style that is well thought out and while it's hot, it has a fantastic storyline. This book features Caine, a positive motivational speaker. When he makes the mistake of trending an idea on social media hurting his reputation, he realizes he needs to do some damage control. Hiring a consort is the first line of action. Shelton is looking for a job, and when offered the position as Caine's consort, he is thrilled. If you read this as a stand alone it's fine but after reading book 1 right before some of the events changed and didn't line up which was a bit annoying to me. Great story with so much potential... Gah! Not sure if I will continue reading the series...

Mr. Styles is a new author to me and I can tell you this won't be the last book I read by him. I really liked Caine and Shelton. Very driven men, professionally, but still finding their way, personally. When they meet, by chance, at the Club, there is instant recognition, even though it has been years since they have seen each other. As in all relationships, there needs to be communication, in between the sheets and out of bed. After an epically rocky start, along with some help from super organized Jenna, an encouraging Monsieur and the ever calm Walter, they have a chance at love. D/s r I really liked Caine and Shelton. A great story with intriguing characters, some angst, and some hot loving. Caine and Shelton work well together when they can properly communicate. Shelton at times seems to me like a bit of a brat and Caine can sometimes be inconsiderate. Overall they make a great couple especially when they let one another know exactly what each one wants. The narrator was good with the story and the characters. I voluntarily reviewed a gifted copy of this audio book.

The only reason I gave this book three stars instead of four is that it was not long enough. I loved the two main characters and would have liked their story to have been developed more. I would also have liked to have more about the club. I want to read the first book in this series now. I received this as an arc.

Have some mixed feelings about this book. I liked the kink and D/S aspekt of the story and there are some very hot scenes. Caine was annoying trough parts of the story, I realy like Sheldon and felt sorry for him, for the way Caine threated him when they where not together. Both are strong characters that needs to learn to express what they want and wish from each other.
