** 3.75 stars ** This was fast paced quick read. I liked Travis "Eyes" despite his stalkerish tendencies. He was protective and loyal to his family and friends. I liked the story anyway.

Ki Brightly and M.D. Gregory continue to build their world of New Gothenberg in King's Eyes. The second novel in The Kings of Men MC series, you can read this as a standalone. Characters from other stories are in the periphery and don't play an essential role in this story. I've read several stories in the New Gothenberg world now and I like where Brightly and Gregory are going with this. Rescued by Travis from the unwanted attention of a man who refuses to take no for an answer, Mackenzie swears off men. Travis is intrigued by the oh so hot man he rescued and wants to make sure he gets home safely. However there is more to Travis than meets the eye. Not only is he a bouncer who handles security for the nightclub but he is also the “eyes” for the president of the Kings of Men MC. As their relationship develops, what will happens when Travis’s lies are exposed, will Mackenzie forgive him or will Travis lose the man he has fallen for? The vulnerability that both men show, made for an emotional listen. I loved how supportive Mackenzie was as Travis dealt with his brother’s issues.
King’s Eyes is a story of suspense, secrets, heat and had me invested from the start.

3 stars Narration: Let me say that the lack of stars is for narration here. Kaeomakana Tiwanak has a cute, young, twink-sounding voice, and if he’d read just the parts for Mackenzie (maybe slowed down the cadence a little) and there had been another narrator with a deep voice working as a team for this reading Travis’ parts, I would have given the narration 5 stars (hopefully). But unfortunately, it didn’t, so it was distracting at best. It actually caused me to miss important parts. Like a descr 3 stars Narration: Let me say that the lack of stars is for narration here. But I’ll be poking my head in to see when the next comes out to see if the writers sort this. Story: I started with this book, and that seemed to be okay. It is a series and should probably be read as such, so I’ll be reading it in order sometime next month. I even picked up book 1.5, King’s Rogue, to read as well. I think any fan of Sons of Anarchy should probably read this. It’s like an MM version! I loved the dual POVs idea. Its always a plus in my book, but like I said before, I would have really loved a proper voice for Travis. I liked both the main characters, Mackenzie and Travis. Whoever thought a stalker could be endearing?! LOL Travis is a stalker…there’s no other way to say it. But lol it works with the story, and I actually liked him a lot. His motivations are clear and written well. But he’s a bit distracted and it costs his brother instead of himself. Mackenzie had some twists to his character that I also really liked. Yeah, he had a cheating ex in New York, but he also has a family history with an MC back in California. That brings Travis to lie, and trouble ensues from there. We meet a few of the characters from the MC, and I’d like to get to know them a bit. Let me just say this, these are NOT the cuddly non-criminal bikers! Well, they may be cuddly, but they aren’t law-abiding. It seems like a great storyline with great characters…so I’ll be pushing the series in my to-be-read list! Only rounded down at the end because I felt like the ending was a bit too open but I really fucking liked this and I’m not sure why I hadn’t read it before because I remember loving the first instalment in this series. I adore this concept and have only read maybe two other books that explore the idea of a darker romance type. Travis is the “Eyes” for the leader of the MC which essentially means he’s a spy. I adore this concept and have only read maybe two other books that explore the idea of a darker romance type. Travis is the “Eyes” for the leader of the MC which essentially means he’s a spy. He doesn’t really get his hands dirty so much as he’s supposed to deal in watching and information. This of course sets his character up well as a stalker — watching is what he’s good at, it’s ingrained in his personality. Travis sets eyes on new to town Mackenzie, not so as sweet as he seems, the Kindergarten teacher. Mackenzie is a super intriguing character — the author establishes him as this soft, family oriented but in the bedroom he is a spitfire. Meanwhile, for most of the sex scenes, big tough biker Travis is restrained, pushed and folded in half like he’s born for it. It’s EXPLOSIVE and just *kisses fingers* pure magic. The weird relationship that Travis has with his club did kind of pull me out of the romance plot though, and it wasn’t really clear to me whether or not they actually cared for him despite them saying so. It just felt very superficial especially with his constant claiming that they were his “brothers”. Idk whenever I read MC series I really feel the need for those connections to be explored in depth for me to buy into them sacrificing everything for these clubs. Otherwise I’m just sitting here being like “they’re so bad for you baby, take your man and leave” and that’s exactly how I felt here. All in all though, this was super fun and yummy. I’m on the fence about reading the next one because prison romances both thrill me while also filling me with an immense amount of anxiety and I felt like Charley (Travis’ brother) wasn’t 4D enough in this book for me to be interested enough in finding out. We’ll see!!

I do think readers need to read all these books to appreciate more of the interrelated stories and characters.

I love MC romances and I just recently got introduced to M.D. Gregory so this was a no brainer to agree to review. Though this was more a sweat, hot and sometimes angsty novel...with very little action.... not saying it was bad I really enjoyed it but it took me a long time to read it. A great addition to the series Eyes is a bit different than most of his brother's in the club, as well as his blood brother. Wonderful couple 4,5 stars I actually liked MacKenzie and Travis more than Grant and Reaper and much of it is because of Travis. Despite his stalking tendencies he's just so likable and so obviously into MacKenzie. I loved the dynamic between them and that MacKenzie had no problem telling Travis what he thought or what his boundaries was. A romance in the middle of club life and violence. start was good I liked the start of this book, thought Travis was adorable, then it just got creepy the way he stalked Mackenzie. There was so much potential with the book but nothing was explored everything was skimmed over and it just basically set up the scene for the next book. Travis and Mackenzie could of been great together because there was so much chemistry but it just never came out as they never resolved anything. Love the cover, super hot.

Travis belongs to the Kings Of Men MC and is a bouncer at their nightclub. He sees a blond getting groped so he rescues him. The blond's name is Mackenzie and Travis can't stop thinking of him. One thinks he's not good enough and the other doesn't want anything to do with anything MC. I really enjoyed this book. Travis belongs to the Kings Of Men MC and is a bouncer at their nightclub. I loved it! King's Eyes was a great addition to the series! I loved getting to know Mackenzie and Travis and seeing more of the other Kings of Men MC. I actually started the series at book three so now I can't wait to read the upcoming book about King's Undertaker. I can't wait to see who he ends up with. I read this book using the Kindle Unlimited program. I loved it! King's Eyes was a great addition to the series! More great mm bikers I just love New Gothenburg and the people who inhabit it. These stories are all interesting and unique which is hard to do as a series gets longer. You can definitely read these books individually but if you read them in order there is a lot of terrific backstories going on.

I enjoyed reading this book, the story wasn't as dark and twisted as I expected. There is a few interesting people in this book like Reaper and Undertaker. The story have a dark theme, some emotional drama between Travis and Mackenzie. I found the entire story between them adorable. Tiwanak is a new to me narrator and I really enjoyed his performance, but the principal just sounded wrong. Love Meg and Ki's insight into the King's world. This was a really good read. It was well written with an intriguing storyline. The characters had great depth and chemistry with their own unique personalities. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

It was okay The first book was way better than this one. I wasn’t feeling it. It seemed rushed to me and couldn’t connect with the characters as much as the first one did. It was well written and flowed good. Hopefully the third book redeems themselves.
