I couldn't love the concept or packaging more. The illustrations are eye-catching and top-notch. The feel, look, and smell of the physical book is fantastic. The concept is very similar to Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls: 100 Tales of Extraordinary Women (except about boys, of course, and with a focus on their Christian faith). There's a good mix of time periods and cultures represented, with about half of the profiles being Bible characters and the rest a diverse peppering of missionaries, w I couldn't love the concept or packaging more. I didn't love the inclusion of some of the subjects (why Dan Cathy instead of Truett Cathy, for example?); the weird/arbitrary emphasis of some of the biographies (Frederick Douglass's profile focuses on his...honesty? Okay?); and how, by trying to make the biographies double as devotionals, the authors managed to make even some very exciting stories feel a little dull and samey-same. Also disappointed that they chose to refer to the Huaorani tribe with the pejorative name “Auca.” Despite all that, I'm really happy to give this book to my son. Quite a few of the stories were new to me and very moving and inspiring. (I received this book for free through a Goodreads giveaway.)

100 Adventurous Stories for Brave Boys is a children’s non-fiction Christian installment by author Glenn Hascall. In 100 Adventurous Stories for Brave Boys the reader will meet with familiar, and maybe not so familiar, people like the biblical Abraham, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, and Ben Carson. I read the 100 Adventurous Stories for Brave Boys Sample. So, my review is only from the sample. I found the text written in simple sentences and short paragraphs which is great for boys ages 8-12. 100 Adventurou 100 Adventurous Stories for Brave Boys is a children’s non-fiction Christian installment by author Glenn Hascall. I didn't read each word of this book, but I did read a lot of it and I am SO excited about this book that I will be order at least 3. Two for each of my boys (so they don't fight over it! lol) and one to give away....at least. This is such an encouraging book and I loved each story about strong people, like Drew Brees, Elijah, Elisha, and more. I also loved that on each page with a story, there was a scripture to go along with it at the end. This book is a must read for boys of all ages. I think my four year old will enjoy it as much as my 9 year old will. Thank you for giving me a chance to read this book. This is simply amazing and very well done. I also loved how there were colorful paintings between the stories which keeps the children interested and wanting to read more. Very well done, very well written and a must for all boys!

One Hundred Adventurous Stories for Brave Boys: Memorable Tales of Men of Great Faith is a wonderful book. This book has a beautifully drawn, full-color picture and an interesting, one-page biography of each of one hundred strong and brave men who lived throughout history. They range from Abraham from the book of Genesis, to Louis Zamperini, a pilot, to Tim Tebow, a baseball player, to Tony Dungy, a writer, and Trip Lee, a rapper. Each man also has a Bible verse that applies to him. This book is One Hundred Adventurous Stories for Brave Boys: Memorable Tales of Men of Great Faith is a wonderful book. The writing within its pages is easy to understand. It would be appropriate for boys in grades three to six. I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an unbiased review.

100 Adventurous Stories for Boys is a fantastic book for young kiddos who are interested is learning about men of faith. I appreciate how author Glenn Hascall does not elevate the men themselves, but instead points towards God's sovereignty and grace in their lives. At 8 years old, reading a couple well-written pages about Bonhoeffer could definitely inspire that boy to read The Cost of Discipleship at highschool age later on. Personally, I feel inspired by this book to read up on the writings of Jonathan Edwards and I'm excited about that!

This is a PERFECT book for adopting into a homeschool program or just to read at night before bed. There are stories from people like Drew Brees, CS Lewis as well as many popular people from the Bible. A really cool way to get boys interested and engaged-especially if they can relate to the person in the story. This would be great to use as a quick read for homeschoolers as well.

I have read through many of the stories in this book with my son. We have both greatly enjoyed the diversity of the characters/subjects. The book is well-made and the illustrations are engaging! Would definitely recommend this book to others. This book was received as part of a giveaway.
