"This is one of the best paranormal series being written. I have read all 19, pre-ordered the next 2 and have listened to 13 on audible. I was very happy to see Bridget get her HEA and Turner join the family. This series always leaves you excited about what is happening and what is to come. It was great getting to meet the real Turner. Thanks I T Lucas for another 5- Star "This is one of the best paranormal series being written. Now only two Gods remain both sworn enemies: The followers of Morta, the Doomers and the descendants of the Goddess Annani. Books 17, 18 & 19 the Dark Operative mini-series novels are the love story of Bridget, the immortal clan’s doctor and (Victor) Turner who we’ve met in former novels, Andrew’s former boss and the only human who is allowed to know about the existence of the immortal clan. Lucas’ series continues to wow with an inventive spin on paranormal romance, keeping it fresh with her inventive storytelling and ever changing world building. These books had a turning point feel to them that may have kept the pace a bit slower but not to worry it doesn’t affect the enjoyment and readers will still get their immortal fix, an exciting side-story romance while catching up with the rest of the clan including a cameo appearance by the Goddess Annani herself. And like the rest of the books in this series they must be read in order. SUMMARY: As a black ops operative Turner has faces life and death situations on a daily basis but now with a diagnosis of cancer he’s facing certain death – unless his intuition that he’s a dormant immortal is true and he can convince the leader of the clan to allow him to try to transition. He’s got one ace in the whole his new love interest is the clan’s hot blooded, fiery redheaded doctor. Bridget has lived a long time (she’ll never tell just how long) and in that time she’s only loved one male, her son. But now this sexy, intense dark operative has come into her life and he could just be the one. There’s just a few problems, he’s human, he has cancer and he could be delusional because he thinks he’s a dormant but even if he is he’s way to old to transition. In the mean time back at the keep the clan’s new village is ready to start taking residents and there’s another immortal and dormant falling in love.

Doesn’t disappoint We are moving well into the story of the Clan now. Turner is about to transition but Bridget and Kian are both worried that he won’t succeed because he is unlikely to be a dormant. Unbeknownst to anyone else, Kian schedules the ceremony for the day after Eva and Bhathian’s wedding. Kian persuades Annani to give Turner two ‘blessings’! The first is to combat his cancer so that he will be strong for the Transition ceremony, while the second is to ensure that he does transition. This has to be kept secret from everyone but especially Turner. Meanwhile some of the ‘lost’ Doomers have found themselves taken captive by a very ‘woman’. She is trying to find out if there are other immortals and, if so, where are they? Any one who likes the Black Dagger Brotherhood series will love these books. Isabel Lucas never fails to entertain.

I never thought I would enjoy Bridget and Turners story as much as I did. I read these books so fast so I’m making a point to just review at least one book out of the sets of people the author has as the main characters. Turner was introduced in Andrews stories and I found him to be a full of himself jerk, but in reality he is extremely smart and paranoid man. I mean paranoid in a good way too. His job is freaking awesome and the way his mind strategizes is so unique that if anything I would neve I never thought I would enjoy Bridget and Turners story as much as I did. His job is freaking awesome and the way his mind strategizes is so unique that if anything I would never doubt him a dormant. However, throughout the first 2 of his books everyone doubts it but i never did and I am not let down. During this last book we are introduced to this new female immortal who has no idea she is an immortal and has captured her some bad Doomers. All she wants it to know if there are more and unfortunately we are only teased with maybe 2 chapters of the Doomers who are captured POVs. This has definitely made me desperate to find out if she will meet the clan in the next book. Overall Turner turned out to be a tough kick ass character that I would be happy to read further povs from him in other books. He will contribute a lot to being apart of the clan. 4.8 Stars ⭐️🌟

Such a long ride in the transition for Turner. It's great to see the love grow between Turner and Bridget. Turner turns out to be a decent man who keeps a strong hold on his responsibilities and wants to hold on to family. Annani makes her appearance and as always, schemes with the best of intentions. Kian knows that it may be impossible for Turner to ever transition not only because he may not be a Dormant, but because he also has Cancer. So he seeks Annani's help to give Turner a better chance Such a long ride in the transition for Turner. It's great to see the love grow between Turner and Bridget. Nick and Ruth are hitting it off, but that is another slow, drawn out love story brewing. Mark aka the ghost friend of Nathalies' makes a short appearance to once again help the clan by helping Turner. I wonder if Turner will ever tell anyone about the "ghost" who aided him. I wonder if there will be more appearances of Mark. Has Nathalie spoken with any ghosts since giving birth? Who is this new character "Wonder" who has been introduced? Is she Roni's grandmother? Looking forward to the next chapter in this series. Overall, another great couple in the series.

Wow "The Dawn of Love" Can this series get any BETTER? This has got to be the most amazing series ever. I love, love reading (although devour is a much better term), these books. Sexist and drawn out If you have to add “but I am all for the feminist movement” to a sentence what you just said is completely sexist and derogatory to women. Cannot get enough!!!! I love this series. The characters seem so real and it's easy to read because of it's flow. I just wish I didn't have to wait so long for the next book! I need to know who this mysterious chic is and if it's Roni's grandma? When is Andar(?) going to get his mate? Is the leader's wife ever going to get more visions or the baby she wants so badly????? This series is killing me! Why does that one guy have to stay drunk? What's his story??? So many questions!!!!! Cannot get enough!!!! I love this series. So many books in this series and each one built on the last. To say that it gets deeper and richer with each tale is an understatement and the investment the reader makes in each character and their struggles and triumphs is well worth it. We have met Turner and Bridget in the earlier books and so this telling of their growth in love as Mates is so welcome. Turner is Still a Scumbag Victor Turner is still a con man after all that Bridget and Kian have extended towards him. My suspicions are that Turner is going to try and overthrow Kian, and tell Bridget the truth that he really don't love her. How many people in real life engage in that type of deception? Man is inherently evil, so I hope Kian and the Guardians throw him out before it's too late. What's up with Ruth and Michael? Ruth is very old, already has a daughter Michael's age? Absolutely incredible!!! I could NOT put it down! I’m in love with this series !! it keeps you hooked from the first book to next and then the next until you are biting your finger nails waiting to see what happens next — and not just to your main characters - but all the subcharacters and sub- stories along the way. LIKE Tessa and Jackson ! OMG I love them! And now I’m totally intrigued with Nick and Ruth!! Looking forward to the next installment !!

Dawn of Love So happy Turner found his feelings! I was a little worried there for a minute. The plane scene was amazing!! One of my favorites so far in the series. I love the new secret female. I felt this book was kinda a wrap for me but once again I get pulled back in anxiously waiting for the next story to see who she is and if the Doomers will find her first! This is an amazing world!

This book tells the godesses story . We have heard bits and pieces but this book gives a much better pictire . I believe this is a must read if you plan to continue the series . This helps you understand the godess on a greater level and lets you glimpse into the life of not only her but life with the rest of the gods . The godess hasn't changed she's still adventurous , slick and funny . Very much enjoyed ! This book tells the godesses story . Ok this is definitely the best out of Turner and Bridgets story. This had all my favorite characters plus new faves Nick and Ruth. Only downsides were the continuing brothel plot a confusing appearance by a ghost??? plus some very unlikely moments and conversations. All being said this series is back on track.

This is a paranormal romance and is the ninetieth in the Children of the God series and the last in the Dark Operative trilogy. Turner and Bridgette come to terms about their feelings for each other. His cancer and whether or not he can transition are on their minds. Ms. Lucas ties up this couple quite nicely, well done.
