Enjoying this book takes a few leaps of faith. A professor and his student engage in a gay affair during class. Both are ex-military. A classroom where the students bring their dogs to class--no mention is made that they are service dogs. Those quibbles aside the book is well edited, there’s no profanity and nothing beyond a few quick kisses. I enjoyed the read.

Is it ever ethical to fall for one of your students? Is it OK when he's older than you? What if it happens? These are all questions that Clark must address when Brent walks into his classroom and his life. Clark has volunteered to teach a forensics class to retired service personnel as they transition to civilian life. Brent is a retired Major who has a thing for his cute teacher. Can they make this work and continue their education? Is it ever ethical to fall for one of your students? Is it OK when he's older than you? What if it happens? PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!! To my ratings: 5* - very very good and rare (it would be a Blow- Away-book like ‘Jesse's Smile' or ‚Joey’ from Angelique Jurd, ‘Save the at he kids' series from EM Leya, ‘Love’s Tethered Heart’ from C.L. Etta or 'Liberty' from Seth King), it's like an A+ 4* - very good and will be often reread and is a WOW-book with interesting plot and surprises (like most of Andrew Grey’s books) it's like an A 3,5* - a really good book, which will be reread a few times a ye PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!! I can recommend them definitively! It's like an B+ 3* - it could be more then a one-time-reader, maybe 2-3 times a year. It’s like a B 2* - it was ok to read, but it's more a one-time- reader (i wouldn't recommend it heartily, but it was ok). It's like a C-, D 1* - sorry, but that isn't really a book for me (too many mistakes, not nice plot, illogical, so an absolut NO-GO). It's like failure in the whole line, dismissed, repeat the class

A great start to get a glimpse at how Brent, a retired serviceman, and Clark, a university professor, meet and start their relationship. I loved that this summer class was free to veterans and since it’s not a usual university scheduled class the veterans are able to bring their dogs with them. The small class gets a lesson outside of the textbooks while helping solve a few cold cases. It’s a nice beginning for what I hope becomes a good story soon in a full length book.

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. To view it, click here. I liked the premise AND it was well-written (loved the fast-pacing). Was I the only reader who wondered why finding the money was a problem?? (The bank robbers were killed but the bank heist WASN'T as important as finding their killers?) I think I missed something vital. The romance and characters were excellent! I liked the premise AND it was well-written (loved the fast-pacing).
