No exams or class trips or silly high jinks in this one; almost all business. And we get the feeling we are heading downhill to some conclusion of the series. This school year it looks like it is (maybe) going to happen. . . but I check to see how many volumes lay before until the end, and there are 7 more, sigh! But I peeked [just skimmed, avoiding spoilers, I know nothing] at how satisfied readers are with the ending, and they seem to dig it, so I will proceed. . .

It may not be the greatest manga ever, but it's much more fun than you'd expect from the premise.

This Grim Reaper assassin is no joke. I thought Nagisa stood a little chance against him but it wasn't even a fight. He easily defeat the entire class and injured Koro Sensei. I'm pretty sure Vitch will realign her allegiance with Class 3-E int he next book. She cares about them too much now to turn back to the dark side. This Grim Reaper assassin is no joke. As I continue to question my commitment to reading through this series (not even sure why I started in the first place), I am solaced by the fact that the end is nigh. Not a bad volume on the whole, pretty cohesive and very much focused on the kids and a formidable foe. Let's see where we're going to finish this series off. Level 1 down. This was intense! Karasuma-Sensei's time to shine! And the tako wasn't doing anything at all! I loved the bit about Itona. Just goes to show how much he put Sensei's words to heart, AND Class E. :) Equivalent to the latest anime episode though there were some parts that weren't included but all the same, great! My only words for this volume - Any girls will fall in love with Karasuma-sensei. What if you were assigned to a classroom and instructed to kill your teacher? We've all had teachers that we wish to get rid of, but what if the teacher was an alien who could move at Mach 20? We've all had teachers that we wish to get rid of, but what if the teacher was an alien who could move at Mach 20? Welcome to Classroom 3-E. Full of all the "rejects" and losers from the main school building. If your grades were failing or your conduct was poor you were transferred to this room. An alien has come to earth and upon destroying the moon to a permanent crest has decided to become a teacher. He wants to help polish the students in Classroom 3-E. Oh and upon graduation the students must assissinate him or else he destroys Earth. Isn't that lovely? This alien is a tricky one at that, he also has more tentacles than an octopus and could be compared to one. The normal things that would kill a human, doesn't affect him. The students are asssigned weapons and BB's to help take this creature down. They may try to kill him at anytime as long as it doesn't interfere with their studies. Nagisa's the main character of the group who's a guy. Now from the drawings and little pigtails in his hair. . .I confess I thought he was a she. Strange, misleading hairstyles. . . Anyways, he calmly collects information about Koro Sensei, the students gave the alien this nickname since he didn't have a true name. Karma's a cool, sneak attack assissian who's been suspended but upon returning he seems to be a bit of a true match for our teacher. Still needs to be polished and I'll tell you this he really does get polished by Koro Sensei. Tee hee. I love this book in how there's an intense mixture of comedy and impending doom upon the students. Koro Sensei's not allowed to harm any of the students in his classroom until after graduation. He also doesn't take them seriously because they're children. I really loved this book and I had a constant smile on my face as I read. I didn't catch any foul language but I think they're may have been a little. Nothing compared to my loud neighbors that drop the f bomb every three words. No sexual stuff, until the very end, but there's no step by step or anything. Just a female assassian eliminating a male target. This is going to be a great series I just know it. I hope to read more about this interesting teacher who wishes to destroy earth and yet he acts like a normal, caring teacher with his students.

Well, this was exciting from beginning to end, and the cover art was definitely the best yet. Things were definitely getting serious, but it still had some lighter elements that I appreciated - (view spoiler)[Irina's betrayal in particular was very interesting, and then it was juxtaposed with Koro-sensei licking the bars of his cage in an attempt to escape. (hide spoiler)] I also like how we get to see more of Karasuma's skills here as he goes up against the Grim Reaper - aside from the island incident and various training exercises we haven't really seen him go all-out, and it's nice to see him show off how powerful he actually is in this volume. Having an enemy that Class-E couldn't defeat on their own was also very interesting - Nagisa defeated Takaoka twice, and they had previously managed to make their way past the vast majority of their problems with only minimal help from their teachers, but here they were so easily defeated, which truly shows they have a lot still left to learn and the Grim Reaper is far above their level. Overall, it was a very interesting read, and I can't wait to find out what happens in the next volume. There were only two things I didn't like, which brought the rating down - the girls' uniforms being different purely for sex appeal, and Irina (view spoiler)[betraying the class because Karasuma didn't return her feelings and it made her realise she was losing her touch. (hide spoiler)] Yes, (view spoiler)[the betrayal was very intriguing, but I feel like there could have been far better reasons behind it. (hide spoiler)]

What starts as a silly attempt at the students to set up their two teachers for romantic success turns into their greatest fight yet as "The Grimp Reaper", the GOAT assassin, makes his move on Koro Sensei. It becomes an action-packed volume as we watch the Reaper take down the class and show just how powerful he, and the rest of the adults, are. I feel like this volume really just lets loose and completely ignores the students. I feel like this volume really just lets loose and completely ignores the students. They just got a power-up, in the form of new uniforms, and now we see that they're actually terrible against real serious assassins. I don't understand where this series is supposed to go next when all the students are so drastically inferior to the adults? Why can a 'master assassin' just show up and have a near-perfect plan when the rest of the series has been full of obvious screw-ups? The assassin powers have become almost supernatural, yes the mach 20 regenerating octopus has been crazy from the start but now the assassins are controlling shadows and altering mindwaves and moving at superspeed themselves. The arc isn't over, maybe the ending to it will be more satisfying, but unless there's some serious interesting new status quo I don't see how Assassination Classroom can go from giant murder dungeon caves back to... regularly schedule schoool classes.

I really like the new obstacle 3-E is facing. The students are going up against the best assassin in the world, "The Grim Reaper." It is way better than dealing with another school activity. To see the students adapt from failure to success or partial success is a brilliant moment for character development as we got a glimpse of it with Itona. This one gets back to the assassination plot, and we see a face in Koro's memories, though it tells us nothing. I really want to know more about his past... This was a pretty action packed volume, and the fight is just starting! I do wish we would get some more stories with some of the students, but they do all get show and almost all have dialogue in most volumes so its actually a pretty good balance overall. Is it just me, or did this volume seem much darker and less humorous than previous volumes? It definitely had a gorier feel to it than in volumes past. Nonetheless, I really liked how Matsui drew the character of the Grim Reaper. I'm curious to see how Class E will get out of the clutches of the Grim Reaper while still accomplishing their mission of assassinating Koro Sensei. This volume is very tense and exciting. The assassin Grim Reaper has made his move on the school. When Irina is kidnapped, class E mobilizes to rescue her. Things aren't what they seem and a betrayal by a trusted ally may lead to the death of Kuro and the entire class. This was full of action and some suprising plot twists. Grim reaper This is a major turning point in the series so far. We have a new villain in to fight. This time it's not just the class who are growing but the teachers too. It's so exciting to see them in a different way. The students is taking a step back in this volume, and it's more about the grown ups this time.
