Lorrie Duncan has lived in Woodward Valley with her grandmother her whole life, so when she finds Gigi in bed with a cold, at seventy five she could put a teenager with all volunteering at the vet clinic and reading to the young children at the elementary school. So when she asks her to go and collect a gift she had left in her desk at the doctors office where she works as a receptionist three days a week, and that’s where she’s found going through her desk drawer when the newest Cooper family member arrives and promptly calls the Sherriff without giving her the chance to explain who she was and why she was there. So when Judd tries to apologise she cuts him off, she isn’t the forgive and forget kind of girl, but Judd makes it very clear that he isn’t going anywhere and he means to break down those high walls around her heart. Can she let her guard down and allow herself to ok feel love, attraction and believe in a future? When Judd Cooper heard the Woodward Valley was in need of a new doctor he jumped at the chance to return home to their family Mountain, he had never really believed in the folktales about how the mountain would be able provide what he needed. It’s a new start for Judd and things are going well until the morning he arrives at his practice to find a irl he’s never seen before. Calling the sheriff to get everything sorted out, he has convinced himself that she was only there to steal from him and starts throwing accusations around. However when the sheriff arrives and he realises his mistake he’s at a loss for words to apologise, he can’t blame her for cutting him off but he means to change that as soon as possible. He’s pulled towards this woman who doesn’t want anything to do with him, can he convince to give him a second chance or was the crime he committed against her too much to forgive? I was so happy when it was announced that there would be more from these delectable mountain men. This is the first book in the spin off series and I loved it. Lottie was awesome and that girl knows how to hold a grudge and Judd is a determined man when it comes to something he wants. The banter these two treat us to was spot on. Fantastic start to the series, can’t wait to read book two as soon as possible. 4.6* read.

This is a spin-off of the Moose Mountain Brothers series and looks to be about other men of the Cooper clan and the call they have to the mountain that provides for them. This is the story of Lottie Duncan and Dr. Judd Cooper. When his cousin mentioned that the town of Woodward was in need of a new doctor Judd Cooper made the decision to come back to the Woodward Valley and take over the practice of the last town doctor. Judd has been all over the world working with Doctors Without Borders but at thirty-eight he felt the pull of the mountain. Lottie is twenty-five years old and was raised by her grandmother in Woodward Valley. She owns the florist in town and is studying online to get her MBA. Her grandmother, Gigi, is a real character who she loves dearly and would do anything for. One morning Lottie finds Gigi still in bed as she has a head cold. Gigi may be seventy-five but she still works three days a week as the receptionist at the doctors office, volunteers at the vet clinic and goes to the town over to read to the elementary school kids. This morning Gigi asks Lottie a favor which Lottie is happy to do for her. Thus Lottie finds herself in the doctors office going through Gigi's desk to find a package which is a present to be mailed to her cousin for her birthday. What Lottie was not expecting was to be introduced to the new doctor with a call to the local sheriff and the accusation that she broke into the office and is a drug thief. Yep Judd has made his first impression memorable and also unforgivable all in one breath, even if he sets Lottie's girly bits all tingly. When the sheriff comes arrives he basically starts laughing as Lottie goes up one side and down the other of Judd, who is too stunned and embarrassed to even say anything much but offer a weak apology. The good thing is that the bouncing azz he initially observed, the one the got his private parts twitching, is not a drug seeker. But the bad news is that she will most likely never forgive him for his assumption and then not letting her explain. This first book in the new series is funny, charming, infuriating, steamy and so much more. The characters are wonderfully developed and I loved the inner dialogue of both Lottie and Judd as they tried to navigate their attraction for each other. Once Judd realizes how he feels for Lottie he is determined to apologize and get her to like him. He has his work cut out for him as she is not the forgiving type, this girl can hold a grudge and has a wicked smart tongue to go with it. But he slowly starts to whittle away at Lottie's defenses and once the dam starts to crack it soon breaks wide open. I really loved Mountain Seeking Doctor and am looking forward to reading the next in the series to see what Judd's high flying brother gets up to now that he is back in town.

It sets the scene for this couple that share some sizzling-hot chemistry. Sure they have their disagreements and banter-laced flirting, but they cannot deny their attraction for each other. Seeing them together, NOBODY would believe that they aren’t drawn to each other! I mean, she readily admits her underwear has thrown up the white flag of surrender again, to this d1cktor/Doctor Jerk. And he himself admits he’s addicted to the taste of her sweet lips. He has found his home – with her. They are sweet and sassy and steamy and passionate. And I cannot WAIT to read the next book. He had dropped coffee down his shirt and had gone back into his office to change when he hears someone enter the outer office. Quickly doing up his shirt he goes to see who is there and is shocked to see a female bending over by Gigi's desk with rear view that has the man in him reacting to it. Due to where he has worked in the past he assumes they are looking for drugs so he tells them to sit down while he calls the Sheriff and refuses to listen to any excuses. Just my personal preference. Dual points of view. No cheating. HEA.

One beautifully written romance that will make you laugh out loud. This is the first book in a new series called the the Men of Moose Mountain, and it is starting out with a blast. Somewhat a continuation from the Brothers of Moose Mountain. We have now moved into the Cooper cousins that are returning back to the mountain. The new doctor, Judd Cooper had a run in with his receptionist's granddaughter, Lottie accusing her of being a drug addict and thief without question. Mountain Seeking Doctor is the first book in Marley Michaels Men of Moose Mountain and set in her “familiar to some” Moose Mountain world. I unfortunately haven’t read the stories previously set on Moose Mountain but will definitely be sourcing them in the future. This is Judd and Lottie’s story and while it’s essentially an instalove tale, it is every bit as enjoyable as a full-length book. A feisty heroine and sexy hero certainly make this a story packed with sizzling chemistry. Fireworks are happening on the Mountain! Lottie has been mistaken for a drug addict/thief. How was Dr. Judd Cooper to know she was the granddaughter of his receptionist? This relationship is off too a bumpy start. Judd is willing to give anything a try to right this wrong. This is a sweet, heartwarming story of lust, love and small town living. Very enjoyable, feel good, short story you can’t help like. First time reading this author and I have added her to the my list. I liked her style and her Fireworks are happening on the Mountain! Lottie's grandma, GiGi, is sick when Lottie goes to check on her. Gigi ask Lottie to get a package from behind her desk at her job at the doctor's office. Judd is the doctor. He is from a big town and is used to people trying to steal drugs. When he sees Lottie behind the desk of his receptionist, he automatically jumps to conclusion. The banter between these two characters is funny and light hearted. They go back and forth on who is going to act like a jerk to the other one. I liked this story a lot. It was entertaining and enjoyable. The characters were likable. Boone cracked me up when he showed up and clued his cousin in on what he'd done. I look forward to more Cooper family stories! Gigi was wonderful and I wish she was mine! Lottie and Judd cracked me up quite a bit. Lottie has Gigi and a few good friends. Judd has family but has only recently relocated to be closer to them. Lottie and Judd do not meet under great circumstances but they are amusing even while I liked this story a lot. I just have to say that if you’re going to write a book from the perspective of a native Alaskan you shouldn’t use words that aren’t typical in America. It sticks out like a sore thumb. Ive never heard anyone call a bandaid a plaster or a doctors office a surgery. I actually googled it to find out what country uses these terms. Beyond that, this was kind of a let down. Boring. One sex scene with no foreplay. Kind of cheesy dialogue. Eh. The very first book I read of this author I loved and was super excited to have a new author to read. This was like the fourth book I’ve read of hers and they’ve all been lackluster after that first one. I think the others I downloaded on kindle are going back unread.

Lottie can’t believe that the new Dr Cooper thinks she’s trying to steal drugs from his office when she is there getting something for her grandmother! Judd falls for the beautiful young woman, but he can’t let her go if she’s breaking the law! Imagine his surprise when he finds out she’s his receptionist granddaughter! He has a lot of apologizing to do and to show her that they belong together! Will she give him a chance? Another great book in the series!
