Kane loves being a fireman so when a position became available in the village below Moose Mountain he knew it was his turn to answer the family call and return to the mountain. But when he finds the woman meant to be his forever and he discovers her love of cats he wonders if the mountain had got it wrong in their case. During his rookie days when he was attacked by a feral cat and still had the scars to prove it. Will Kane be able to move past it for love or is this the one time the mountain has failed? I’m loving these books they are fun, sweet and of course sexy. I loved how Bree was determined to find a way to help Kane and how he wanted to find a way to be with her. Highly recommended read, series and author. 4.3* read.

The love story was shallow and I tired of hearing about a fully grown man who was very large at six foot-five inches tall and lived traumatized of cats because he was scratched by a feral cat while working as a firefighter. We are talking about a man who would freeze in fear unable to speak. He was going to give up the woman he loved because she had cats and was part of a foster program. I found that portion of the story slow-moving and boring. It wasn't my cup of tea.

Mountain Seeking Fire Chief is book 4 in the Men of Moose Mountain series by Marley Michaels and it was Kane and Bree's story. Kane has come home to the mountain and is the new fire chief. He meets Bree when her cat gets stuck in the crawl space and he is instantly smitten. Bree is definitely attracted to the sexy fire chief. Unfortunately Kane is terrified of cats and Bree is a huge cat lover. Is this the woman the mountain has called him home for? Great addition to the series! Kane and Bree Love these sweet little novels where they fall in love immediately because they know the mountain means for them to be together. Kane hates cats, is terrified of them. He feels the mountain has called him home to be with Bree yet she loves and owns cats! Now what? Cute, and funny. Bree and Kane are great together!

His Pinky This book is about Bree and Kane. She calls in an emergency rescue for her cat Violet, who is stuck in her roof. Despite this (or maybe BECAUSE) of this, Max explains the callout is a welcome-to-the-station gift from the boys. When Kane and his brother Max (Lucy’s husband) turn up, Bree notices just how gorgeous Kane is – so much so that she thinks that if there was a Woodward Valley firefighter’s calendar, he would be a candidate for the cover AND would put him down for every month too! Definitely worthy of every month! Bree’s inner monologue about Kane being ‘another Cooper’ is hilarious! She’s ‘reeling because it’s like these men are returning to the mountain in spades right now. Soon, the only surname in town will be Cooper since they keep snatching up all the eligible single women. Ohhh, does that mean I get one too? If I get to choose, this one will do nicely. He’s got a nice butt.” I could hardly stop laughing! Kane admits to Bree that he’s not a cat person. She’s shocked, claiming they’re a woman’s best friend! He does worry that despite his strong attraction to her, that she might be a crazy cat-lady. When her stray cat Pickles rubs himself all over his feet, he doesn’t know what to think or how to react. He’s a bit gruff and she calls him Mr. Sour Puss to he cat, and he reassures her that, “Mr Sour Puss will be out of your hair as soon as we get your cat down. Then you can do whatever it is you do— have a cat pajama party or something— and we’ll be on our way”. His lips twitch up into a cheeky grin that makes him look even hotter than he did before. Bree is in trouble! They BOTH are! He’s totally mesmerised by her, and she’s totally enamoured by him. Besides his distaste for her cats, he’s the kind of man she had always hoped to fall in love with - strong, charismatic, loyal, and funny. There is an undeniable attraction there, that neither needn’t bother fighting. The mountain seems to be playing her part again. There’s a bit of drama with some ‘miniature velociraptors’ and we also get to meet two more of his siblings – Trace and Marta (the only sister). I can’t wait to read their stories of love, especially Marta as the only sister – she said she’s “ready to drink from the well that gives back”. The flirting and banter between these wonderful characters was so refreshing, fun and funny! I feel so invested in the intertwined lives of ALL the Coopers and their partners (and Gigi of course!). The writing makes me feel like I know them all, and that I could just pop up to the mountains for a visit and a few drinks! I just don’t want this series to end… like EVER! This was quite possibly my favourite Cooper clan story so far. And I simply cannot WAIT for more! I give this book four and a half mountainous stars! It is the story of Kane Cooper and Bree, and lets not forget her fur babies Violet and Pickles. Kane has moved to Moose Mountain and is the new Woodward Valley Fire Chief. As his three older brothers have been called back to Moose Mountain and found their women he has not quite felt that pull yet. But that all changes when the firehouse receives a call late one evening. Bree is a nurse who works at the local retirement home. She loves her job and is content even if she has never been kissed. Instead she has her two fur babies that she loves and also fosters cats often before they find their forever homes. One night Bree is in a state as Violet has gotten herself stuck up in the crawl space. She has not come down for anything so before it becomes too cold, and she freezes, Bree makes a call to the firehouse. Is is waiting for the firemen to arrive but when she sees one of them, who happens to be hotter than Hades, her girly bits start getting warm. Kane is not happy when he finds out the "she" is actually a cat. He has a history with a cat that is not good and almost cost him the career he loves fifteen years ago. He begrudgingly does his duty and with the help of his brother Max they rescue Violet, but not without injury. When Kane saw the beautiful, curvy and pink haired young woman on the call he was smitten. But as he looks around all he thinks is "crazy cat lady" and he can't go there. At the same time though he is getting the call that Bree is meant to be his, the mountain is providing for him after calling him home. Now they have to figure out how a cat phobic man and a cat crazy lady can have a future together. Luckily for them both Bree thinks of a plan and Kane gives is it a try, not making any long term commitments. They might just have a shot at a hot and heavy forever together. This is a funny, charming and completely delightful book. It is well written and has a story-line that kept me engaged as I was laughing throughout. The characters are charming and the chemistry they share is off the charts hot with some claws thrown in to hold on with. This is a great addition to the series.

Both sense an intense chemistry between them; however, his intense phobia presents a stumbling block. What happens to them? Will they end up together? You must read this book to find out. I enjoyed the rich conversational and internal dialog. Ms. Michaels uses witty banter as part of Bree and Kane’s courtship. Her use of descriptive language pulls readers into their story. The scenes with Max and Bree taking care of three cute and cuddly kittens are delightful. Bree and Kane are the perfect soulmates, and their love is precious. I appreciated the efforts Ms. Michaels took takes to incorporate characters from previous books in this series. I love the way she provides readers with hints as to whom the next book is about. I liked the two epilogues. One provides readers with Bree’s perspective five years into the future. The second provides readers with Kane’s perspective ten years into the future. This was an enjoyable read. Well done, Ms. Michaels.

Very nice story! I was fascinated that the big, strong, caring Fire Chief, aka Kane Cooper, has this fear of cats. Not a dislike, but an actual deep seated fear, caused by a pretty traumatic event. And after meeting Bree, a true cat lady, he's willing to face his fears and work on his phobia. Bree, I liked her, but I didn't connect with her the same way I did Kane. She fun, feisty, cheerful, and forthright but I just didn't get a kick out of her the way I have all the other heroines in all the b Very nice story! This is book four in the Men of Moose Mountain series. It’s a fast paced instalove story. I loved this series so much. I’m really looking forward to reading Tace’s story next. I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book. The Mountain has called another Cooper home to meet their love, Kane is the new Fire Chief and meets spunky sassy, Bree. Their attraction is instantaneous and the only(really big) obstacle in their way of happiness is Kane's fear of cats..... Bree is determined to win his heart and help him overcome the fear because they all deserve a HEA....
