I love Summer's way of writing Rom Com's. They pull you into the character and make you laugh without being over-the-top. Which I know realize is a funny way to phrase that, since Haley definitely went a bit over the top here hahaha. But I still stand by it--I love Summer's humor and characters! She does a great job of dropping you in her characters' heads immediately and making you fall in love with them while also wanting to be their best friends. The plot of "sabotaging" Austin's business was really fun, but I lived for those moments of realness between him and Haley. They were SO cute! Their relationship felt authentic and I was rooting for them to just get past all the lies between them while also biting my nails wondering HOW they were going to get past the lies between them! The ending was fantastic--with a great dark moment that ended in a perfect HEA. But even better was the epilogue. It was adorable and ended the book on the perfect note. I did wish a little bit that Haley had come clean to Austin's boss, just to really show she was sorry, but I didn't see how that could work. And somehow by the time I finished the book, Summer had tied everything up so perfectly that I didn't actually care about that little detail anymore. I think she settled it wonderfully. I can't wait to see these characters again in the next Wedding Business book!

She's extremely immature, unorganized and silly. I'm not saying there isn't women on the world who is like that, please, I'm begging you, don't open my drawers. But she was not personality otherswise, outside being the "quirky! silly! saying the wrong stuff all the time *giggles*, look how crazy Am I? What did I just did? I'm trying to read as many romance novels as possible in February, and I'm reading Dowell's Wedding Business Series as a part of that. I can solidly say that I enjoyed this book more than the first! The characters were more in-depth, the story was smooth and flowed easily, and its vengeance was intriguing. If you’re down for a quick, cheesy, clean rom-com, look no further! If I could give this 4.5 stars, I definitely would, but 4 stars it is! I loved her writing! Revenge is not my favourite plot type, but this one was well done. It was laugh out loud funny, I loved how her girlfriends supported her even if her plan was a little (a lot) crazy. I loved the tips for flower arrangements at the end! Everything is in the details! Haley did seem a little immature, and I didn't really click with her, just because her motives are not something I resonated with, but that's really personal preferences. I loved how well the side-characters of this story were described, everyone seemed like a whole book could be written about them. 🐝 Steam Level | 1.5 | Some steamy kisses, but no mention of anything under the belt. 🐝 I want to thank @summer for the free e-arc! It’s Just Business takes a unique spin on the enemies-to-more trope by throwing together two people who won’t admit to each other that they’re enemies! I liked the tension that was built throughout the story and think it was nicely resolved. I also liked the representation of strong female friendships! If you’re interested in a funny, Hallmark-like romance read, It’s Just Business is right for you! It’s Just Business releases March 25.

This book wasn't bad, it just wasn't that good to me. Although I had some fun with their banter and I also think that these two had several unique "dates" I couldn’t really feel all the animosity between them, which I think it’s a must to all enemies to lovers stories. But it was a cute closed door romance. This book wasn't bad, it just wasn't that good to me. And even though I adored the first book of The Wedding Business Series (If It's Perfect: A Romantic Comedy, aka Hope's book)–which, as a fellow type one, how could I not?–I actually enjoyed Haley's book more. 👀😱 So, why was that? Well...honestly? This book was just so MUCH FUN! Not that Hope's book wasn't, but this was just a different kinddddd of fun. The pranks were crazy in a totally Haley-way; and while that wasn't the most mature route to handle everything, her antics (along with her accomplices) were goldennn. Maybe some of the book was a little over-the-top, BUT THAT'S ONE OF THE BEST PARTS ABOUT ROMCOMS! I did feel bad for Austin though, lol. Despite his sneakiness in the beginning, and his original decision of not coming clean to Haley, he really was a sweet guy. I know I was definitely swooning. 😍 Likeeeee, during a certain "car scene." Actually, a couple of different "car scenes," now that I think about it. 🤔 Oh, and that ending (as well as the epilogue) was ADORABLE! I loved them both! *chef's kiss* As far as content goes: Clean!! Any suggestive material was extremelyyyy minor, so no worries there. Dishonesty was part of the plot, and Haley's mom had some relationship struggles that were talked about...but I wasn't bothered by either of those aspects. So, I'm going to end this review by saying that I just really loved the book. I enjoyed Haley's relationships with her sister and friends (totallyyyy spot-on, because all I could think about was me and my sisters lolll). The chemistry between Haley and Austin was TOO CUTE (all their little run-ins were just perfecttt). And even though I didn't always feel the hate-to-love vibes, they wereeee more present at certain times...and I was definitelyyyy a fan of them (HOW COULD I NOT BE?!). 👏💗 ~I received an e-copy of this story from the author, and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.~

The girls were ready and willing to take down Austin and the restaurant because he stole Haley’s dream. I loved all their little powwow meetings! (And all the snacks involved!) Haley was a character! She was the extroverted mess that everyone needs in their life. Her POV always made me chuckle because I know people like her and they just always bring a smile to my face. They’re little balls of sunshine! Austin was great! He was tall, dark, handsome, and great with people. (And he spent his free time hanging out with kids) The perfect hallmark hero! He had a huge heart and he saw the good in everyone. He was just a really good guy! Haley & Austin together made me smile & sigh! They had such an easy chemistry and banter that I love! The ending was adorable too! 🎕 Though it wrapped up a little too perfect I’m glad that Austin could forgive Haley for her role (her whole plan really) in getting back at him. Again, it’s a fictional romance of course it ends in a happily ever after. I would have it no other way. 😉 Overall it was an enjoyable rom-com! I’m really looking forward to Avery’s story! 4/5 stars *I received this book from the author**All opinions are my own*

Hayley & Nick had good chemistry but at times Hayley acted so childishly. I feel like she was extra vindictive and sometimes Nick really didn't deserve the tamperings in his restuarant. Her pranks were too extreme and what he did was nothing compared to them. Overall, I like the friendship between Avery, Hope & Hailey. There were some cute and adorable moments but the drama was a bit OTT tbh. It was a quick, fun and easy read. Though at times I felt like it dragged on. This book is a fantastic escape for when you need something to put a smile on your face. Haley was hilarious and Austin was so dreamy. And this was definitely a poor read for me. I've gone with 2 stars only because objectively this was a well written book, and the humour was there and the characters were reasonably fleshed out. However I have big issues with the plot personally. So this book is predicated on Austin stealing the location of Hayley's flower shop. The book opens with Hayley telling her sister that she's found the perfect location to fulfil her dream of having a flower boutique - it's a hard to come by spot and she's got the perfect inside information to make it happen. While at the flower shop, Austin (a stranger at the time) overhears their conversation and snatches the location out from under Hayley by outbidding her. He needs the location to open up. a new restaurant to "prove himself to his dad" or something like that. At this stage I had no issues, I though what Austin did was really dirty but book-wise I was interested in how this rom-com ship was going to take sail with this very real predicament. In any case, Hayley later runs into Austin at the grocery store. She vaguely remembers him at being at the cafe earlier and she find him attractive so they flirt. Austin recognises Hayley for the woman he saw earlier at the cafe, and that she's the one he stole the location from. Anyway Hayley flirts and invites Austin to her place for dinner and he goes, because he's drawn to her also. This is where I started having BIG problems. Austin, knowing he had just intentionally ruined Hayley's dream in an underhanded way, still chooses to spend time with her, without being upfront about his actions. This is bad guy behaviour. True villain. Yet Austin is presented to us as this really nice, salt of the earth kinda guy. Forgive me for not buying in. Guilt flares up in Austin and he cuts their date short (but still not telling Hayley what he's done). Hayley then coincidentally finds out that Austin is the guy who stole her location and she goes on a revenge streak, reasoning that if she sabotages the opening of the restaurant, then alls fair and she could potentially still get her flower shop. Okay. Fine. At this stage I'm like whatever. So she sets her revenge plans in motion. All of this so far is fine-ish. I hated Austin but the book was still fairly enjoyable because I was really a fan of the writing. Things took a turn for me when Hayley and Austin continued to interact. See the problem I had with this was the two of them would actively seek each other out - despite their underhand dealings with each other. Austin would manipulate situations so that he could spend time with her, and vice versa. This would be cute if they weren't both actively ruining each other's lives in such underhanded ways. How can I root for this couple when I'm not sure that they're objectively good people. This could have resolved in two different ways for me plot wise. One, their interactions could all have been accidental. Running into each other places etc. This happened at the start where they ran into each other at a soup kitchen, but the rest was intentional. I think it should have ALL been accidental. This way they get to still know each other, but then their actions would have stayed in stranger territory. It's still not great behaviour, but it's easier (plot wise) for me to see it in the light of them doing it to someone they don't know rather than someone they're actually romantically interested in. A second way this could have been resolved is if, Hayley sets all her revenge in motion at the start, realised Austin is actually a "good guy", tries to stop the revenge plot but it's too late and the tension results from her wondering how to come clean with Austin or if she's still justified. See how this would have been better. Instead what we have is Hayley falling for Austin and still (STILL) actively doing things to sabotage his restaurant. We have Austin falling for Hayley and still not coming clean about his involvement with the failure of her dream. How was this relationship every going to work? Yet they would actively seek each other out. Thinking about all this actually makes me want to give this a one-star rating. It would even have been better if Austin reveals to Hayley halfway through that he was behind the loss of her location and Hayley then doesn't come clean (but doesn't continue doing revenge things). This was a story about two unlikeable people doing unlikeable things, but feeling like they're good people. Ridiculous. Everything culminates with Hayley sabotaging the restaurant's opening, Austin finding out and they go their separate ways for a little bit before reconciling. There was this ridiculous moment when they reconcile where Hayley is shocked that Austin got fired (like!?! honestly what was the expectation? You were plotting to ruin his opening i.e. plotting to ruin his job, why are you now shocked at this outcome?!). This book makes me so mad, and it was a slog to read because there was no joy. I'll stick with the 2 stars but I don't think I'll be going back to the Summer Dowell train.

If that’s the kind of humor you enjoy, you’ll love this book! I also loved the slow love between “enemies” even though one didn’t really consider them enemies.

This is the second book in Summer Dowell's Wedding Business Series and I loved it just as much as the first! I caught myself laughing out loud a couple times and loved the "friends" reference! Hayley and Austin were great characters, you really got to know their personalities and their chemistry was great! Definitely hoping for another one in this series! I love when an author has so many good one-liners and quotes in a book! The inner dialogue is fantastic and the banter and conversations are top notch. I mean, if the powdered donuts or the plethora of beautiful flowers don’t convince you to read this book, maybe a bunch of pranks, some great romance, or fantastic inner dialogue will. Just trust me on this—you want to read this one! Summer knocked it out of the park. This is definitely my favorite book from Summer thus far! Haley is sweet and relatable and I want her to be my friend! I think I could fit in with the group of friends quite nicely. Austin is dreamy and amazing and everything you want in a literary hero. Like, seriously, he’s so good! Aside from the whole stealing a business location thing, he’s basically perfect. But even if he did steal Haley’s location, I still loved him from the very beginning. I loved the development and learning from both characters and how their relationship gradually evolved. I also loved how Summer wrapped everything up in the end. I wasn’t sure how she was going to do that! The cast of supporting characters is so good. I loved how they all helped flesh out Haley and Austin’s story. And of course all the little things Summer threw into the story were fantastic. Great book, Summer! I can’t wait to see what you come up with next! Thanks Summer for an advanced copy in exchange for a review. All the gushing about this book is purely me. Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫

It’s the second book in Summer Dowell’s, The Wedding Business series. I really enjoyed this book! It was a sweet lighthearted comedy that also had a lot of heart and some depth to it. As I said before, this is the second book in The Wedding Business series, and I would recommend reading the first one before this. But, it’s not necessary. Hope, Avery, and Hayley, our main character, are all in the wedding business and close friends. Hayley is a florist, Hope is a cake designer, and Avery is a wedding planner. However, what Hayley really wants to do is open her own flower shop, and she’s on track to do that. Until Austin comes in and steals her shop away from her, so she decides to do some not so harmless revenge. But she starts to wonder whether she’s wrong especially when it gets harder and harder to fight the attraction or maybe even love for Austin. Like I said before this was such a cute book! Hayley is definitely way overdramatic, but I can sympathize with a fellow drama queen. I loved seeing her passion in everything she does, but it definitely got out of hand in quite a few moments. She was so fun though, and how she made everything into a spy mission was hilarious. And even though a lot of tactics were juvenile, I could understand where she was coming from. Her mom had scarred her quite a bit, and it made Austin’s betrayal hurt even more. I also adored her relationship with her sisters and friends. I felt like in Hope’s book you didn’t really get to see Hope, Avery, and Hayley’s interactions, and I loved that addition in this one! They are so supportive of each other, and while I don’t agree with everything they did, I really liked how they stood by Hayley. Additionally, Erin was amazing too! I have two sisters, so I really like getting to see sister relationships especially ones that aren’t strained or awkward. It was very refreshing to see a healthy, loving, funny sibling relationship. I liked Austin, but there were a lot of times when I just wanted him to man up and tell her the truth. He had a good heart, but he was so focused on pleasing people that it was hard for him to do the right thing. But he and Hayley were cute together especially when they were volunteering with the kids. And Austin did try and reconcile, so that was a pretty big deal in my book. It’s Just Business is super clean, and it’s a wonderful, hilarious book that I would definitely recommend! I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the author. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.

I liked the fast pace and am legitimately considering a future career in floral design. I want to work with flowers all day like Haley. Haley had me laughing often with how much junk food she eats. I liked a lot of their banter, but had a hard time with some of their meet-ups. They didn’t seem organic. Some of the places they went seemed to be forcing an idea rather than letting things happen naturally. This was an enemies to lovers book, but really light on the enemies. There wasn’t a huge amount of animosity over the workplace situation. I was hoping for a bit more angst, yet I guess that this could also be a plus. It’s a light-hearted read which also can hit really well at the right time. I wish some of the sabotaging didn’t continue on so long. Gratefully the ending seemed to satisfy that resolution with how both characters felt about what happened. I thought this was sweet and definitely a pick-me-up type of read. And what I always love about this author’s books are the epilogues. Totally cheesy and I’m not even sorry about how much I love them. Overall audience notes: - Contemporary romance - Language: none - Romance: kisses

But what if that dream stealer has been blessed with gorgeous abs, fixes cars, and volunteers to make kids feel wanted??? Is he really such a bad guy? Austin is trying to grow in real estate management and eavesdropping for hot location is not a good way to start something with the person he stole from. But what if it is meant to happen? So when sparks fly and the pranks get out of hand, do you still belong? Loved reading this book! I can tell you, I read this without reading the first in the series and still understood the story. I give it two thumbs! (Not my death thumbs though!) I received an ARC. These are my own opinions.

This one didn’t disappoint. #RomCom is not my normal genre to read but I have found myself enjoying her books. First I love Haley’s job. I have always loved flowers and it will be amazing to know two hundred different kinds of flowers. Their love story is a unique enemies-to-lovers trope. I won’t spoil anything but I don’t think I can eat a glazed pork chop or even a vanilla ice cream again. Those are some funny moments. They have shared a lot of good times but one is secretly holding a grudge. I may not approve of their pranks but we all do things we are not proud of. That is why we need to think with a clear mind and pray. There is always a chance it will not go as planned and we have to be ready for that. Let's not forget Hayley's supportive friends and family too. I love how Hayley and Austin’s character have developed. They love to help others thus Hayley’s reason to open her shop and to share the special events in people’s lives. This story of love, acceptance and forgiveness makes you laugh out loud but it will definitely touch your heart. Nobody is perfect and it’s up to us to keep the hard feelings or move on. I look forward to the next book. I wonder if it’s Avery…. Thank you to the author for the complimentary copy. All opinions are my own.

Austin, an up and coming restaurateur manager, finds a spot on Newport Beach for his boss, through a not so reputable way, but you know "It's Just Business." Through his guilt, inability to stay away from a pretty girl, and his inability to tell the truth, he may get himself into a pickle. Review: This book is so cute, a little vengeful, but so so funny! Haley is such a lovable character with all of her chaotic energy and crazy plans. Her character is so well developed through her relationships with others, and her willingness to go all the way. Austin is seriously such a good guy, though he may have made a mistake. I loved the turns this book took, though some of the pranks seemed a bit more of felonies, but it was still horribly funny! Truly if you love rom coms of any kind, you will laugh a bit too much reading this book. Also you may learn a thing or two about cars...... Guys I was clueless but definitely learned what a PCV was?!? GO PREORDER NOW! It is so so funny!!! And so so good! Content Warning: Mom with chronic divorce and relationship issues. Clean Rating: Squeaky Clean, with a bit of shirtless attractive man fixing cars action.
