The Yellow Kid is one of the most famous cartoon characters to which is credited the status of being the cartoon that started the comic book history in America.
This book collects for the first time all R. F. Outcault's Yellow Kid cartoons and strips originally published between 1895-1898. Additionally, it has extensive text with historical information about the artist and the creation of the Yellow Kid that spans through fifteen chapters.
I'm sure the fans of the Yellow Kid will love this book. N The Yellow Kid is one of the most famous cartoon characters to which is credited the status of being the cartoon that started the comic book history in America.

I'm sure the fans of the Yellow Kid will love this book. Not only because It collects every cartoon, but also because of the extensive extra background information. Myself, I am not a big fan of the character and I only got this book due to historical curiosity so I couldn't enjoy it that much.

Pretty fun series, but holy hell the racism is hard to look beyond. Irish-Americans once again getting their back walls blown out by WASPy east coast writerly types, but whatever. It's worth a read because there's a lot of genuine comics history happening through this mostly miss-heavy series. Pretty fun series, but holy hell the racism is hard to look beyond. I'm sure fans of The Yellow Kid would love this book. It collects every strip with a lot of extra commentary and background information. I just don't see the appeal of the character so I couldn't enjoy it for anything more than it's historical significance. I'm sure fans of The Yellow Kid would love this book.
