Who Killed Artie ? . . . When her deputy Aoife brought Sheriff Jody Shaw the coroner’s report, she learns Artie was definitely magically murdered. The coroner had written at the bottom of the page that Artie’s heart had literally turned to actual stone, marble, to be exact. Suspicion turns to Sally Gilling. Gram saw her at the scene before Artie died, and she was whispering something. Now with the report, it seems a spell is a likely inference. Gram also believed Sally had killed her fiancé. At the Senior Center, Jody observed Sally. The ladies hung on her every word and even a simple word or motion showed abject adoration on their faces, like they couldn’t get enough of anything she said or did. Her grandmother had insisted the woman was a fake and used glamours to sway her followers. Gram might have been right about this too! How was she going to get the proof she needed against Sally? Will Gram finally disrupt Sally’s glamours, or is there something even more sinister than façade magic at work in Harrow Bay?

Jodi and Drake will find out just how dangerous things really are in town. They will do everything they can to make sure everyone is safe and the person is brought to justice. I love this series and all the characters are so much fun. Jodi and her family provide so laughs and their own issues. The great thing about this series is that the strong female characters are not just young people, but midlife and beyond, Isabel exploring her magic in her seventies and eighties. Their magic doesn't solve all problems, and using it seems to present them with other challenges As several folks struggle with who and what they are, things get lethal Jody has not only her own magic, but her connection to the town magic and her growing bond with Drake Still, some of the darkness they face is powerful. Death is not the worst threat they face by far Fascinating series where magical adventures meet personal growth, meets discovering life’s challenges at many ages and stages I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Attacking ghosts Jody is stunned by the report she finally received from the coroner about her grandmother's fiance. She never really doubted her claims, but she thought her grams may have exaggerated a little. Unfortunately, there seems to be a sudden surge in ghostly activity in Harrow Bay so she has two cases to solve. These characters are unique and sometimes their interactions made me laugh, I love them. Fantastic read with magic, mayhem, a little bit of romance, with a surprising twist. This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. To view it, click here. So Jody can do magic and is dating a demon bounty hunter from hell, but doesn't believe her grandmother could see a ghost? Pissed me off so much I decided to end my reading there. I absolutely HATE when that sort of shit happens in a book "oh look I'm doing magic, but I'm not a witch, witches don't exist, heheh". IT'S A BLOODY PRN, STOP WITH THE BS! It doesn't create angst, it pisses readers off. I'm done. So Jody can do magic and is dating a demon bounty hunter from hell, but doesn't believe her grandmother could see a ghost? Jodi is back in book four of the Harrow Bay series and finds out Artie was murdered by magic sending Jodi into investigative mode. I am loving this series and all the quirky characters we meet along the way. This is a well written paranormal story with some ott crazy fun things happening that make this an entertaining story. I look forward to reading the rest of the Harrow Bay series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

Isabel closes in on Sally Enjoyable story well told. Willa swings to opposite ends of the scale with Patty, I hope she can pull her head out of her own over thinking to move forwards. Isabel 's single minded focus in Sally yields results in the form of Sally's dead husband. Isabel closes in on Sally Enjoyable story well told. Unputdownable/SPOILER Couldn't believe the crap that Sally actually did!!! That woman deserves everything she had coming to her. Who would have guessed she was that powerful, Isabelle did!!! And now Willa gets a second chance. Whew, this one was a wild ride. Unputdownable/SPOILER Couldn't believe the crap that Sally actually did!!! That woman deserves everything she had coming to her. This is the fifth book in the Harrow Bay series and Jody realizes that Artie was definitely magically murdered when she reads the coroner's report. The magical adventures and personal growth throughout the series are great and I can not wait to see what is in store for the next book.
