It's a great story from the get-go, and I couldn't put it down. Once again, we are pulled into the world of the baseball team Espen Emperors as Declan Armitage was traded to them. He is now faced with quickly finding a new place to live or at least a room to rent as he looks for a place. His older brother, a.k.a. 3rd parent, reminds Delcan that Brock Richmond, an old family friend, will be happy to help, as Brock recently retired from Sandpiper (Espen's football team) and would love the company. As Declan, Brock & Sampson, Brock's 5-year dog, learn to their new normal. Granted, both men are hiding a secret from one another. Declan, as openly bisexual, had a teenage crush on Brock, and it seems as that crush has not gone away after years of not seeing him. However, it was wrong to lust after Brock because, to Declan, he was straight. Shocker Brock isn't straight and is actually gay. He wasn't comfortable coming out while he was playing football. Now, he is retired, looking for someone, and has his eyes towards Delcan. Brock has one other big secret. Delcan, somewhat "mother-hen" brother, told Brock not to get involved with Delcan. Will these two strong men crump to the will of their desires? And how will all these secrets play out? I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Haven Hadley do it again. I'm so sad this series is coming to an end because let me say that I've read a lot of different series over the years and this is by far one of my favorites. Every book in this series has been fantastic and to finally get to Declan's story, it was well worth the wait. The characters are developed so beautifully and the storyline is on par with every book in this series. Declan is that boy next door that you just want to hug and fawn over because he's just so darn cute. W Haven Hadley do it again. Declan is that boy next door that you just want to hug and fawn over because he's just so darn cute. When he gets traded and he's not sure where he's going to live, in steps his brother Ethan to offer up on a platter Declan's childhood crush. When Brock offers for Declan to stay with him, Declan of course doesn't think it's a good idea, but Brock says it will be fine and he can stay as long as he wants. Little does Brock know that when he gets an up-close look at Declan after he hasn't seen him for a while, would he know right off the bat it's a bad idea for him to stay because he's attracted to him right away. The more time they spend together, the harder it is for them to keep their hands off of each other. Brock's keeping a secret from Declan though. Will they make it through when Declan finds out the truth and will they get their happy ending?? I highly recommend this book be read to find out. I can't wait for the finale of this series. Callen and Spencer getting married. What more can you ask for?? I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

So I jumped into this series with this being the first book I read! It can be read as a standalone romance but the couples from the previous books make appearances so I am betting it would be even more fun to read them all in order! Declan moves in with Brock when he gets traded to the Espen team.. and they just click personality wise with of course the underlying chemistry and attraction! Declan has always had a crush on Brock but Brock has been in the closet. I loved how they got to really know each other and all the fun interactions with their friends and other players! I especially liked Reed the neighbor flirt!!!!!Brock had promised Declan's brother Ethan he would not touch him so Brock is trying really hard to hold back. I loved it when Declan decided to "Tempt" him!!! Let's just say you will have to read to find out how that goes!!! I received an ARC of this book and I recommend for those who love a fun, gentle romance that develops into a steamy love! I am going back to read the entire series now before the final book!

However, Declan's brother evokes the bro code and Brock promises to keep his hands off. Thank goodness some promises get broken. I really enjoyed this story of two men who have history, adding to it by growing their relationship to one another and in the process getting to know themselves better and figuring out what they want and what is important along the way. Good stuff and baseball. Enough said. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Declan is a professional baseball player for the Backfins. Imagine his surprise when he gets traded to the Emperors. He's sure it will work out well as he'll be closer to family and friends. It all happened so quickly that he's stuck in between places to call home. His brother, suggested that he give his best friend, Brock, a call as he has a spare room. Him and his sidekick, Sampson live a pretty simple life and that's just how he wants it. When his best friend tells him that Declan has been traded, Brock immediately says he can live with him.. Each is crushing on the other and Declan has no idea that Brock is gay. Will those two reveal their feelings for one another? This is a good book, if you like sports and gay friends to lovers.

This was an amazing book! I loved Declan and Brock's story. I was hooked and rooting for these two from the very beginning and I truly did not want this book to end. Baseball, football and friends to lovers to happily ever after. Declan and Brock aren’t opposites at all but two men who have family, friends and sports in common. That’s not what brings them together, though, no, it’s attraction and friendship. Oftentimes friendships make the best relationships as it certainly does here. The trade that changed everything. Declan's life has been turned upside down. Given only a few days to be relocated to his new team's home base, he's left with having to find a place to stay. This also means reaching out to someone he's had a crush on - Brock. For a number of reasons, Declan never made a move. After all, Brock is straight. Right? Just two people living under the same roof, dancing around one another until they finally get their act together. **I received a free copy of this book The trade that changed everything. This has been a seriously fantastic series!! Each character is complex and well fleshed out and this story's characters are no exception. Declan has been traded and has no idea where's he's going to stay. His brother Ethan has a place in mind and it happens to be with Declan's childhood crush. Brock is fine with Declan staying with him until he gets a look at him, He attracted to him and it will be hard to keep his hands off him. Overall, fantastic, really well written, highly recommend.
