I think even 3 stars is generous It’s not that this was bad or even terrible, it’s just the unevenness of it all that bugged me to no end. The first book started off very strongly and the it was like a steady nosedive. Evie just kept getting worse and worse and I just couldn’t understand why she wasn’t evolving or getting better. The character became annoying and instead of using sense and rational thought, her decision making skills was just awful. Also what’s the point of a reverse harem if there wasn’t an opportunity for them all to join together, it just made me wonder how could she possibly be a unit with all four if the 3 males weren’t ready to share her. Also I definitely felt like the three books after the first were poorly structured and not thought out well. Often I’d wonder if there was novella or something that was to take place between chapters because everything would shift and you’d wonder just how much time passed or what happened to so and so.

DNF. I don’t like the FMC, she’s all I’m a strong independent woman and then a super whiny horrible person. I don’t like the way she treats and interacts with her siblings. She treats all but 1 like crap and things bad about them. I have a bunch of siblings and get annoyed with them but i would never seriously treat them like she does, and she isn’t playing, she’s serious. I also don’t like how she treats her mates. She’s a B! This series offered in one novel was a better deal and satisfying read than taking them on separately! This book was full of contradictions -- i.e. On page 38, Evie calls their vehicle an suv, then after a couple page turns to page 40, a few hours have gone by, and she's suddenly driving a van. In addition to the confusing facts and details randomly thrown into the equation, it's as if Evie's trying to unload reams of background information to help the writer impart potentially significant answers to unavoidable questions about Evie's origins, her power, and her place in the long-standing prophecy of the coming of one true love for three Fae kings. It often has Evie drifting away in her mind, awkwardly spacing out to recount events, situations, conversations, and updates on the Fae half-sibling kings of Winter, The Night, And the f-bombs. Evie cusses as fluently like a drunken sailor, or a crew of construction workers having a bad day. The first couple books weren't that well written, and seemed disjointed. However, the writer stepped it up in the succeeding and final books. I kinda liked how she wove in the prophecy with mythology, and the advent of Lucifer's involvement, as it was pretty clear why the demons and dark armies ran away after Evie's blood spilled on the battlefield. The could scent the presence of Lucifer in her blood, and his claim on her. Of course, Meg inserts a twist to Persephone's curse, and makes it all about the lost Queen of the Dawn Court. This turned out to be a great book, once the writer offered it in one nice package (having to read separate short novellas wasn't wonderful for me - I like a novel with meat to it, and reading a seven-hundred page novel was better than reading the same story in four separate novellas. That was annoying, so I stopped after the first book, which I hadn't thought much of). When I saw the series offered in the one booj, I purchased that. I have no regrets. This writer redeemed herself in the subsequent books and I was able to read the story in its entirety in one go. Four solid stars, because that first book was just bad. But, as I've already stated, the others made up for it. Evelina became more tolerable, even likeable, and her kings - mmmmm! They sounded like such fun, and were described so delightfully. That they were all so gorgeous, yet completely, differently, individual made the multiple mates idea more appealing and sexy. 🌟🌟🌟🌟

While the story started quite interestingly and the characters were fascinating and lively, I can’t really recommend this read. The main lady is an interesting person and she grows alot during the story. But she also is a weird mix of brains, brattitude and senseless brawn. She runs around in circles and while she seems to grasp her situation from time to time, she also reverts to a frustrating bundle of stupid in between. I’m not sure if the writer failed to lock down her personality or if they had so many threads to weave in the story that they just failed with half of them. Sometimes it seemed the book had had several sidestories that had been cut crudely out since often the story just doesn’t make sense or it repeats facts to every character multiple times, or it refers to something that has happened like the reader should know it already.. Sometimes the internal monologues went on and on for too long. And if the reader gets angsty for the character who in the middle of a fight starts to muse about relationships, then the book looses a bit of shine. There were also several plot twists that seemed unnecessary in the grand scheme of the story. Some confrontations were quite pointless. I felt like the writer would have needed a diligent editor who was not afraid to cut out intense scenes.

Whooa. Okay I absolutely LOVE Meg Xuemei X work. Like her Half-Blood Academy series was great. I really enjoyed it. This felt very very different. Yes, it seems to be in a different kind of world but we aren't sure. I'm thinking human but it seems humans knew of "others". There wasn't much thought into world building at all which sucked because you gotta have fabulous world building to impress me and go with the story. The story just kind fell flat for me. Clearly her parents treated her better than the others. They had her on a pedestal and that wasnt fair to her other siblings. Then they go missing. Not exactly her fault but she had to know she had it better. Best weapons, clothes, and education. She supposedly was this great fighter and was trained but man first sign of trouble she got scared and froze or something. Ss, this was kinda all over the place. Almost like someone else wrote it but I dont know. I havent read but one series by her. This seemed so different like she didnt try as hard. I got bored a lot and skimmed a few times. Not something I'd really recommend unfortunately.

Exhilarating and an Epic read Took me two nights of reading until five in the morning, but finally finished the series. Totally awesome is one way to describe this series, with all its twists and turns. The Fae Kings well they are steamy hot, Evelina/Ileana perfect badass, loved the snarkiness made me laugh. Got my happy ending, the good guys have always got to win, don't care if it's not feasible in real life but in my book life it's got to end happily. This is probably closer to a 2.5 for me. The writing was really uneven and there was a lot of sudden “there’s a secret solution to this problem.” And a lot of loose ends never get resolved. And I suspect the author didn’t have a set timeline to reference, because sometimes an event was 2 days ago and then one paragraph down it was “a while back”. Also the reverse harem is a divide and conquer, not a collaborative loving unit. Reading this as one big book is the only way that works. The 4 separat This is probably closer to a 2.5 for me. It was okay. I have read other stuff by this author that blew me away. This was just okay. I feel like if the world building was better then I would have liked it more. The fighting and dialog between the sisters could have been more mature. It was supposed to come off as sparky and funny but it just came off as immature. This is the only fae book series I have finished This book was everything I wanted. The chemistry between the characters was amazing and I loved how strong the MC was. There was a perfect amount of spice with a plot line that just wouldn't quit. I found myself tearing through these books. And the wild hunt??? So freaking cool. Ragging on This was a good story, but the plot dragged along in parts. And the dialogue was odd. I some parts everyone spoke as intelligent adults. In other parts, they spoke like dumb teenagers. Eddie was a daft, horny teenager, but other times she was speaking like a responsible adult. The inconsistencies were distracting.

Thrilling series Lots of hot explicit sex however there was also a real story being told. This is a tale of the human world and the Fae. Supernatural creatures abound. I loved the little human family Eve has and the interactions between all of the siblings. Lots of war, violence etc before Eveie is crowned Queen. Highly recommend

A good series I enjoyed this series. I liked the overall plot. Action, steamy scenes and some humor. There were times I wanted to kick Eve's butt for some things she did. The Fae Kings are hot, but they do act childish, at times. There are twists and surprises in the plot. The plot dies drag at times. I wish the Hellhound had a bigger role in the story. Amazing I show this book series on an ad on Facebook and then I read the description. I figured I would give it a chance. Oh man!!! It was the best thing I did. I love the tough, arrogant, troublesome Fae kings and there different attitudes. I love Evie, and her amazing courage, and strength and determination. Thank you so much for these books.!!!

I thought the first book was good it is what kept me reading, but it kind of lost my interest later on there were a few good parts here and there but I found myself skimming a lot to get to those parts. If you like reverse harem, fae kings, other realms then give it a shot it is an easy read and a good story.
