Okay...but... The story is okay, got a bit tired of Beth's wishy-washy behavior. The author of this book has probably visited the real island where the story takes place. I've lived here for 45 years. Her descriptions are mostly hit and miss. If you don't know the area, that doesn't matter. HOWEVER...five minutes on Google would have prevented the author from making an annoying mistake. No matter how tall the building is, you will NEVER see the Pacific Ocean from Seattle. You will see Puget Sound Okay...but... The story is okay, got a bit tired of Beth's wishy-washy behavior. The author of this book has probably visited the real island where the story takes place. HOWEVER...five minutes on Google would have prevented the author from making an annoying mistake. No matter how tall the building is, you will NEVER see the Pacific Ocean from Seattle. You will see Puget Sound, Lake Washington, Elliot Bay, Union Bay, and the ship canal. You will NOT see the ocean. It's a 186 mile drive across the peninsula to get to the ocean. Some might not see this as a big deal...but if a person is going to call themselves an author, a bit of research to get the details correct makes the difference in being a mediocre writer and being a good author. I won't be spending any more time or money on this series. If Ms. Clemens can't be bothered to write with accurate details, I can't be bothered to read her stories.

Soap Opera It's so sad and it doesn't end in these three books. It's a sequel series. So what happens next... Tune in... The writing style was good. The characters, probably suffering ptsd from the dysfunctional relationships but that how soaps suck you in, are floundering yet taking the next step forward. I don't know what happens next unless I get the next books. I was entertained. Resolution may be too slow for me though. Stand alone stories, even in a series, work better me because it's quick Soap Opera It's so sad and it doesn't end in these three books. It's a sequel series. So what happens next... Tune in... Somehow life goes on As well as I have heard it described, love, life, divorce and new babies, these books have it all. I have laughed, cried and thought some really deep thoughts. They are so well written with such feelings that it is hard to put them down. Amazing events come one after another. The characters are so real, they feel like friends. The setting feels like home. I think I have a new favorite author.

Ok Kept my interest until about 1/3 of the way through book 3. Seemed to drag... but then I realized that was because there were more books in the series, so there would be a lot of loose ends. Not my favorite. I prefer books that tie together, but aren't joined together like a soap opera. Maybe someday I'll buy the next books. Maybe. Engaging strong female characters These three novels provide deep insight to these women’s self-analysis of their worth. Their evolving and changing relationships with the men and children in their lives resonates with every woman. Hope, humor and happiness are prevalent throughout.

It kept moving forward Really enjoyed this trilogy. Actually the series need ed to be this long so all the characters could be developed as well as they were. Well done. Will continue to follow this author. Her style is engaging.

Sweet These books are sweet and clean. I didn't notice any big spelling or grammatical errors, except for a few instances of "you've got another thing coming." It's THINK. I didn’t want these books to end What a thought provoking set of books. The characters are so real, their problems are so real and I love that their friendships are so real. I did not want these to end.
