    Part of me feels a little weird rating this book. I considered just not giving it a rating. Some of the poems in this book are phenomenal, and some of them are...fine. But then you consider they're being written by teens who have been incarcerated. So of course they aren't ALL going to absolutely flawless. But at the end of the day, I think this whole book really was great. So it's worth giving it a rating. I will say, though, my favorite parts were the "conversations" that were basically essay s Part of me feels a little weird rating this book. I considered just not giving it a rating. If it hadn't been for the conversations, I'm not sure if I would have enjoyed this as much as I did. They really were the high point for me.
