Cuties 🥰 This was such a breath of fresh air after Flagrant (which I loved). As always, AH gave us a story with deeper issues that sure surrounded by chemistry, love, and laughs. I enjoy reading about other characters of hers that we love. Great job.

Refreshing... I tend to have a love-hate relationship with the angst in my #BlackRomanceNovels, so it's always refreshing when the love comes easy... Technically the story was an A. House masterpiece. Dray was a teammate of Leland McCain, so we were able to see our favorite Cyclone in the distance. Polo and Big South made an appearance as well. This one was about Dray, his demons, and his family issues. The story was also about him finding the piece to complete the missing parts within his soul. Stevie was the right amount of goodness to quell Dray's old lady desires. ARC Review “Yeah, technically we haven’t known each other for that long, but I think our hearts are old lovers.” Technical is the second book in the St. Louis Cyclones series and it’s everything. I didn’t know what to expect going into this book but as usual, Alex didn’t disappoint. Drayveon is successful, focused and content with his life until Stevie October unexpectedly pops in and makes him realize what he’s missing. This book is sweet, soft and it’s instalove done well. Drayveon is a TRUE cinnamon roll hero and for me, that instantly made him a book Bae. The way he loved and cherished Stevie and her son is heartwarming. He was in deep from the beginning and didn’t ask for anything in return. A real KING! Their chemistry, trust and support of each other made this character driven story a relatable and easy read. We get to see them grow as a couple and individuals. Plus, I love how Stevie became Drayveon’s light through his darkest hours . This couple is different, yet they have so much in common. They both value family but struggle with the feeling being reciprocated. The family dynamics in this story were mind-blowing and I love how the author addresses it. Reading this will remind you that all blood ain’t family and you’re not obligated to carry everyone on your back. It is definitely the entitlement, audacity and the utmost gall for me. Whew! I was ANGRY! This story isn’t without the witty dialogue, hot sex and humor of Ms House. I found myself laughing out loud numerous times while reading. The tone is this book is different and I love the direction Alex took when writing. The love between the couple just drips off the pages. This story is proof that our past doesn’t define us. Regardless of how messed up we are, there is still the opportunity to change the course of our lives and be our best possible selves. There is one thing I wish was different in this book, I wanted the last conversation Stevie had with her father before he was blocked on page. I just wanted to know in detail the reason for his total resentment of his daughter. It’s sickening. Other than that, awesome love story. If you love sweet and romantic stories with a cinnamon roll hero who absolutely ADORES his found family, read this book. Alex House has done it again, she pens a couple who will ALWAYS be a part of our heats. Job well done. This book was gifted by the author in exchange for an honest review

*ARC Review Wow! This damn book. It was so so good! Book 2 in the authors St. Louis Cyclones series. This book tells us the story of Drayveon Walker and Stevie October. Technical is a insta-romance love story but its also character driven so for this reader, the quickness in which Drayveon and Stevie got together didn't bother me in the least. Listen… this was A LOT. But I enjoyed almost every minute of it. It’s been a minute since a book gave me that “I don’t want to put it down” or “I can’t wait to pick it up” feeling and this served that. Was it perfect? No, but not every one can be a McClain brother (excluding Nolan because I still sort of don’t like him). I enjoyed it FAR MORE than Flagrant and I remain a fan of Ms. House. 4 out of 5 wine glasses

Alexandria House doesn’t know how to miss!! I laughed so much and she even had me shed a tear over Christmas!! It was just so sweet! I usually don’t do spoilers, but I’m tempted! It was just that good! They were so loving and gentle with each other, patient… sex scenes are always incredibly written. She gave us a little extra ✨razzle dazzle✨ this time, though! Bottom line: definitely read this book!

This is the sweetest love story I’ve read in a very long time. In true Alexandria House fashion, there is some drama involved. I fell completely in love with the way Drayveon loves Stevie. Black love at its best (with a lot of steamy scenes added to balance things out.) Alexandria House is at the top of her game.

I wasn't prepared to adore Drayveon. But he really does have a beautiful spirit. I did not want this story to end and I can't wait to catch up with them. Girl!!! The first chapter of this book made my jaw drop. So much went down in just a few pages. I knew I was in for a crazy ride. I struggle with stories that try to romanticize the woman healing a damaged man. Fortunately, it totally worked for me in this book. Drayveon was so beautifully flawed and lovable. I absolutely loved it. First of all this fashionista aka Alexandria House named dropped the hell out of these designers throughout this book. I almost feel Iike she put her own personal fashion stamp of taste intertwined in all the characters. Telfar, Bentley, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, YSL, Chanel, Balenciaga… Stevie and Drayveon are dealing with real situations that required raw emotions and reactions that played out honestly and truthfully because raw emotions speak the loudest and it was beautiful I absolutely loved it. Seeing Drayveon’s growth from a scared little boy to a responsible man was refreshing. Blinded and haunted so much by his guilt and confusion that he allowed people to manipulate and take advantage of him until he met Stevie a women dealing with her own demons from childhood that caused her to not trust ir befriend many but opens up to the possibility of Drayveon. It’s beautiful how a moment bonds people together who never knew they needed one another, to save each other from themselves. Reading how Drayveon and Stevie endured and overcame to find acceptance, peace and completion in themselves and in one another on their terms, in their time and in their way had me rooted for them to have that HEA as their love propelled and connected them with a bond no one could break.

Worth every star. This book hooked me from the start and I loved every minute if it. It's happy, it's sad, it's raw, and got some parts you want their families to catch hands for but best of all, is the support Drayveon and Stevie have for one another.
