When I first saw the cover I knew I am going to rave about this book. I mean look at it, it's pretty, it's wonderfully illustrated, it's witty at an oddly sarcastic angle and it's really really thought Maithili lives in the outskirts of a magical realm, an outcast in the world of humans and feared among her monster schoolmates, but why? Maithili and her friend Minotaur learns more about the mean humans and a sinister cult as they join on their very first adventure in a seemingly outlandish world. When I first saw the cover I knew I am going to rave about this book. I mean look at it, it's pretty, it's wonderfully illustrated, it's witty at an oddly sarcastic angle and it's really really thoughtful. A perfect heart-warming book for kids as well as adults. Maithili And The Minotaur Web of Woe is the first book in the Outlandish Graphic Novel series. A refreshing book which paints an extensive picture of friendship, love and tragedy. The whole book contains chapters narrating each plot efficiently with equally appealing illustrations. The entire storyline is well thought out and engaging. Characters are cute and equally intriguing. I took an immediate liking to the characters and how they are portrayed. Plot distribution is also good. I couldn't help but giggle while reading. Definitely recommended to everyone.

But if you haven’t learned the meaning of friendship, you really haven’t learned anything”. • The overall theme of the book revolves around the character of Maithili as her abode remains to be a place where she is an outcast as she lives among monsters and she must learn to be careful in the situation as the monster like resemblance has been symbolically used to signify the ugly side of human beings. But if you haven’t learned the meaning of friendship, you really haven’t learned anything”. • The overall theme of the book revolves around the character of Maithili as her abode remains to be a place where she is an outcast as she lives among monsters and she must learn to be careful in the situation as the monster like resemblance has been symbolically used to signify the ugly side of human beings. The book demands and catches our attention at the very beginning itself as it is the presentation aspect of the book which revolves around graphic presentation of the storyline. In addition to the same, the book teaches certain valuable lessons about life and the changing side to humans as lessons involving friendship and loyalty remain prevalent in the book which comes as a delight for the readers who are parents as the book’s content is replete with instances and lessons that are capable of making readers below the age of 10 realise valid lessons of life. • The writing style has been kept simple and comprehensible and the presentation aspect complements the same and thereby making this book a must read for anyone willing to go for a good read.

   I could not stop smiling as I turned the pages of Maithili and the Minotaur – Web of Woe, the first in an Outlandish Graphic Novel Series, and outlandish it is to the very core. Maithili is an outcast from the human world, and she doesn’t know why. She also cannot fit in at school. No monster one will speak with her, except for the Minotaur. Everyone apparently seems to be hiding something from Maithili (which is sort of revealed in the book but not quite), till an incident occurs that changes t I could not stop smiling as I turned the pages of Maithili and the Minotaur – Web of Woe, the first in an Outlandish Graphic Novel Series, and outlandish it is to the very core. Maithili is an outcast from the human world, and she doesn’t know why. She also cannot fit in at school. No monster one will speak with her, except for the Minotaur. Everyone apparently seems to be hiding something from Maithili (which is sort of revealed in the book but not quite), till an incident occurs that changes the course of the story. This comic/graphic novel series is so exciting and also very real when it touches upon the topics of alienation, loneliness, and what it means to be different. The graphics by Rajiv Eipe are minimal initially and later they get more colourful, and interesting. Maithili and the Minotaur is a wholesome read – and I recommend everyone read it, irrespective of age. It is a chaotic journey, and the illustrations do justice to it. It is about monsters and humans living together (and why are they labelled to begin with?) and that in itself is a strong message. Do check it out.

Being a human, Maithili must be afraid of monsters with whom she lived but it was another way around, the monster kids in her school were afraid of her, however, there was a monster kid Minotaur who accepted Maithili the way she was and become her friend, a friend who stood by her in all her ups and downs. And this graphic novel is the story of their adventures. The first part of the s Maithili And The Minotaur is a story of a human kid Maithili who lives on the outskirt of a magical wilderness. Being a human, Maithili must be afraid of monsters with whom she lived but it was another way around, the monster kids in her school were afraid of her, however, there was a monster kid Minotaur who accepted Maithili the way she was and become her friend, a friend who stood by her in all her ups and downs. And this graphic novel is the story of their adventures. The first part of the series through lively illustrations shares the adventurous tales of these two best friends, how they entered the human world and almost got caught, how they saved their school from hooded figures. This graphic novel is not only about the adventures of two strange kids but also about the unusual friendship they share, the story depicts a wonderful message that no matter what if you call someone your friend then stick by them. There is no right age to read a graphic book, I believe graphic books attracts adults more than children. The illustrations in the novel are so gorgeous they will hold your attention from the cover itself and you'll be forced to finish the book in one go.

This is the first book in the series and I'm really looking forward to the 2nd book which will be released in 2022. The illustrations, oh my God! I'll never shut up about the beauty of this book. It's just so pretty and wholesome.  Totally recommended to everyone but especially for children around the age of 10 years.

So, when I came across this book, I couldn’t resist the temptation of delving straight into it. Fun, quirky and heart-warming, this story was not just entertaining but also edifying. There were so many little but noteworthy snippets of lessons added in the story that intrigued me a lot. If read between the lines, this story has so much to teach but its beauty also lies in simp “Because friends shouldn’t be scared of friends.” I really believe that there is no age limit to enjoying a graphic novel. So, when I came across this book, I couldn’t resist the temptation of delving straight into it. Fun, quirky and heart-warming, this story was not just entertaining but also edifying. If read between the lines, this story has so much to teach but its beauty also lies in simply going through it for fun. This book would be a perfect pick during reading slumps to get one in the reading spirits. I loved the illustrations and the characterizations. Also, Minotaur is definitely my favorite character in the story. I also enjoyed the little piece of the story added in the end along with a sneak peek of the upcoming part of this Maithili and Minotaur’s story. To say that I am excited about it will be an understatement.
