This is the story of Abigail and Edwin. They have known each other for a very long time and both have had feelings for the other that they have not shared. She is Charlie's "little sister" and Charlie and Edwin are best friends so that only makes her strictly off limits, in Edwin's eyes. Abby did finally admit her feelings to Edwin after her high school graduation and he never responded or acknowledged her - so she left for college, broken-hearted, and never looked back. Abby did finally admit her feelings to Edwin after her high school graduation and he never responded or acknowledged her - so she left for college, broken-hearted, and never looked back. Fast forward 6 years later and Abby has returned to NY and inevitably crosses paths with Edwin again and there is no denying the old feelings, the old sparks are still there. But also hurt and distrust that will need to be worked through. As they spend more time together (in a professional capacity) they learn to deal with betrayals from their past, hurt from their past and figuring out how to navigate their current situation and if what they have and what they feel for each other is worth fighting for. A great read!

On her 18th birthday party she has a letter for him telling him of her feelings for him and asks him to meet on her on 'their' bench the next morning before she leaves for college in California. But he never turns up and breaks her heart. She is very successful in California and enjoys her time there with her BFF, Layla, and her best canine friend, Nash, who was given to her as a young puppy. Fast forward six years and Abigail is back in New York staying with Charlie and Nash and visiting their Grandmother. Charlie is still best friends with Edwin but has hardly mentioned him whenever Charlie visited her in California. But now he's going to have difficulty keeping Edwin and Abigail apart as Edwin, now a very successful realtor for the family firm needs a new photographer to help sell some property and Abigail just happens to be looking for work to build up her photography in her new business. But the attraction and affection between these two is still as palpable as it was when he last saw her at 18. Will Edwin's feelings for her overcome his thoughts of losing his best friend, Charlie, if he pursues Abigail? What will happen if she confronts him about not turning up to meet her the day that she left for California? This is the first book that I've read by Jacob Parker but it most certainly won't be the last. He is a great storyteller with fun characters, a great plot and I now need to read the first two to find out what I've missed as well as looking forward to book 4! I received a reader's copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here. Most Definitely Recommended!!!!

This is book two of A Manhattan Men Series and it is Edwin and Abigail's story and omg it is definitely a must read. Edwin and Abigail have history as they had been friend's for many year's but as they got older there feelings for each other changed but Edwin couldn't act on it as he was best friend's with Abby's brother and there was an unwritten rule that you didn't cross regardless of how you felt and then Abby left suddenly with out saying goodbye. Six year's later and Abby has returned home and as a photographer she needs work and that is when she starts taken photographs of properties for Edwin as he work's in real estate but she needs to keep her guard up so that she doesn't McCall into the same trap as before. When Edwin sees Abby again he realised that he is still in love with her but he still couldn't do anything about it or can be take a chance to tell her how he feels and deal with her brother later. Abby couldn't believe what happened year's ago and even though she tries to avoid him she realised that she is still in love with him but she is still not prepared to get her heart broken yet again so it seems that they are in a stale mate situation even though there chemistry was off the charts hot and intense. Omg this was such an emotional read and I couldn't put it down and had to keep turning the pages to see what would happen next between Abby and Edwin and I absolutely loved the outcome and I can't wait to read more book's in this amazing series. Jacob Parker is becoming one of my favourite authors and I absolutely love his book's so much and I definitely recommend you read this book and others by him and you will not be disappointed. “Mr. Handsome Hunk” is the story of the next Manhattan man, brought to us by Jacob Parker. It’s the second book in what has so far been a great series. Childhood best friends get a second chance at love and we are lucky enough to be there for it! Edwin and Abigail were childhood friends, and when they were teenagers, he fell in love with her. The only problem was that she is his best friend’s younger sister. He keeps his feelings to himself and unbeknownst to him, she is doing the same. When something unforeseen happens, she takes off for California after high school graduation. She doesn’t return for six long years, during which time she gets her education and develops a career as a photographer. Upon her return, she ends up doing photography for Edwin and his family’s real estate company. Seeing her again makes Edwin determined to win her heart. She is equally determined do not have her heart broken again. This story is simultaneously heartbreaking and heartwarming. Both main characters are likeable, but when Edwin wears his heart on his sleeve, he is irresistible. The reason for the years they spent not even being in touch is so sad, and also outrageous. The chemistry between them feels authentic and lights up the pages. There are some good secondary characters who add to the story. Her brother Charlie is a great guy, but he also isn’t – when you read the book you’ll see what I mean. I thought the ending of the book was perfect for the characters, and for the story of their lives. Bring on the next Manhattan man!

But when she left for California to go to school, she left with a heavy heart. The one she has loved forever stood her up after she poured her heart out in a letter. She waited for him and he never showed. She is not back, living with her brother, and her beloved dog Nash, in Charlie's apartment. But she has bigger plans. She wants a house with a backyard for Nash. But in walks Edwin, and her heart stops. He did not know that she was back in New York. Edwin goes over to Charlie's apartment, and the last person he thought he would see was Abigail. He didn't know she was coming back? This opens up a whole lot of feelings for both of them. But she is still Charlie's little sister and she is off limits. Or is she. After 20 years of feelings that just won't go away, and 6 years apart, what will Abby and Edwin do? HAHA...you will have to read this great book to find out. Ciao

I love these two characters a lot! Edwin and Abigail have known each other most of their lives. They were victims of what Abigail’s older brother did right before she went to college. She’s back home with mixed feelings about living there, and especially about seeing Edwin again. He is her brother’s best friend. There are twists and turns in this story and a lot of self-doubt on both the characters parts. I love the whole family scene in this story. It enhances it. I am voluntarily leaving this review. Jacob Parker is doing great things with this series. This book was well written, the characters were relatable, the drama and suspense was perfect and the chemistry was off the charts. Jacob Parker is doing great things with this series. This book was well written, the characters were relatable, the drama and suspense was perfect and the chemistry was off the charts. Another great book in the Manhattan Men Series. This is Edwin and Abby's story. She is the younger sister of his best friend. It won't take you long to fall in love with Edwin, he's a great character. His family owns most of Manhattan and they have a booming real estate business. Edwin always liked Abby but she was off limits six years ago and that rules still holds true. But sometimes rules are meant to be broken. Their chemistry is great and his proposal is adorable. Love from the first word to the last word of the book. Awesome. Fantastic book. I couldn’t put it down. Edwin and Abigail‘s story actually started 20 years ago when they first met as children. It will have your heart fluttering. Their love is so powerful and so deep that it has withstood Abigail moving to California for six years. If either one of them only knew what really happened, the story might’ve been different. Were they both too young to know exactly what love was at 18 and 20? One of the best happily ever afters I have ever read. Love this Manhattan men book series.

This is the 2nd book in this series, can be read as a standalone, but I suggest reading the prequel and book 1. Edwin and abigail grew up together, his best friend is her brother. Both knew they loved eachother, even at the young ages of 16 and 18. Both have broken hearts, due to something her brother did, unknown to either of them. Now 6 years after she left for Collage she is back home. Can they work through the hurt from their past, or the new hurdles that they face now?? Edwin was first friends with Abby, but as they grew older, he fell in love with her when they were teenagers. What he does not know is she feels the same, since she is his best friend's sister, he does not let her know his feelings. Abby leaves for California after high school, she does not return until six years later to close to her brother. He suggests she does some work for Edwin, photographing properties for the family's real-estate company. Edwin and Abigail grew up best friends with a childhood love that only grows through the years. The author brings a beautiful love story with all the feels as he re-connects them after six years apart and gives them a second chance after a huge misunderstanding. I loved the interaction between Edwin and his brothers, all of whom have been in past books in this series. It's another great book to the series. I'm looking forward to the next brother's story. Abigail and Edwin have known each other most of their lives… and loved each other just as long. So what’s the problem you ask? Her brother is his best friend, and Charlie doesn’t think Edwin is good enough for her. Will his interference ruin everything or will love win out in the end? This is another sweet romance in the Manhattan Men series. But there’s also plenty of steam to make it more exciting. Maybe a bit longer than necessary, but overall enjoyable… looking forward to reading more in thi Abigail and Edwin have known each other most of their lives… and loved each other just as long. Edwin just became my favorite Manhattan!! I really loved Edwin and Abby's story. 2 childhood sweethearts that were separated because of Abby's going away to school, and without admiting their feelings toward one another. Add an overprotective brother, a sweet grandmother, a revelation that will result in a big blowout, some steam, a bit of drama , deeply felt emotions and many romantic gestures; and you'll get this wonderfully written story. Love this 2nd chance romance I’m really loving these Manhattan Men. They are handsome, vulnerable, and they love unconditionally. Edwin is the youngest brother who secretly pines for his best friends younger sister, Abby. Not knowing that she secretly loves him too. I found myself loving their interactions more and more. Jacob Parker gives you their entire story. Something that’s missing from most romances. I think that’s why you root for both characters so much.
