Great 3 in 1 preview of things to come for Spider-man, trying to be friendly when the neighbourhood it's self is no longer friendly. Who is behind the Dark Web. Venom and friends? Venom is recruiting on earth, and Eddie Brock is embarking on a deadly journey. How far is he willing to go to get back to is son? The non-stop Avengers. The Avengers doing what they do, but is it too late? Great 3 in 1 preview of things to come for Spider-man, trying to be friendly when the neighbourhood it's self is no longer friendly. I always pick up the Spider-Man/Venom FCBD issue, despite my ongoing confusion between Venom and Carnage. In the Spider-Man story, Spidey has to battle a magical post office box that had turned into a monster. It somehow has to do with an evil Ben Reilly and Madelyne Pryor from the X-Men- so they are now pulling together characters from two franchises, which has potential. In the Venom story, a one-eyed Eddie Brock wants to keep his son safe, who is a symbiote himself. Don’t know the background for this family drama, but the last two-page spread with other monsters was cool.

Standard superhero action drama. This is a Free Comic Book Day issue, so it contains three short teasers instead of a complete comic. They're pretty standard: the first features Spider-Man, the second is about Eddie and Venom, and the third covers the Avengers. Spider-Man and Venom don't actually interact (sadly) but the cover art is fun to look at. Nothing special here. Standard superhero action drama.
