I got to say I enjoyed this book a lot more than I thought I would. The book looks at many minority heroes and heroines of the Marvel Universe. The final part looks at the LGB in the current MU and in it's history. I got to say I enjoyed this book a lot more than I thought I would. A beyond average sampler.

Marvel Voices is a new series that are a collection of short stories around certain topics that have different authors and illustrators. This FCBD issue pulls together a few from already released collections, giving us an excellent sample so we will want to read the previous graphic novels. I think a YA audience will really connect with this series, as some of the topics addressed are Indigenous Voices, Pride, Words Do Matter, and Personal Heroes. The humor and art are a winning combination.

The artwork you find in this edition for free comic book day is beautiful. I don't feel like I got a good enough feel to make a proper review and I am not sure it grabbed me enough in the beginning that I would pick up the entire edition. It is really great for representation though and I can see it being a good avenue for Marvel to explore. The artwork you find in this edition for free comic book day is beautiful. Just great, especially because I missed previous Marvel Voices publications and this samples last two years with a new story and a great Introduction that I'm still reading. This sampler I will be rereading; and it's funny, too. Highly recommended.
