I thought it was a good idea to pretend to be engaged to my sister’s best friend. Before you judge, hear A hot, new romance by USA Today bestselling author Elizabeth Lynx about a fake engagement that turned into something not so fake. What happens when a hockey player and a wedding planner kiss pretending to be in love and that kiss turns into something neither expected? I thought it was a good idea to pretend to be engaged to my sister’s best friend. Before you judge, hear me out. I needed the money. Okay, that sounded really bad, but Harper needed something too, a job. We were both benefiting from the fake engagement. The only problem was as we tried to keep it a secret from our friends and family, the more word got out. That’s the problem with being a famous hockey player and living in a small town. Word spreads fast. I guess I didn’t think that one through. I didn’t think a lot of things through. But I was desperate for the money I could get by pretending to be Harper’s fiancé. My ex-wife took everything I had and trying to raise my son in a tiny one-bedroom apartment wasn’t easy. I may not be proud of the lie I told, but I’d do anything for my little boy. Even pretend to not be in love with my fake-fiancé.

Sweet and funny. This author always brings a safe story, and it wasn't different this time. With crazy occurrences, sometimes farfetched scenarios, and dichotomic characters (well set on good or bad, no gray areas), she mixed sexy moments with light situations to bring us Jackson, Lucas, and Harper's story. A fake-relationship meets single-father, with a splash of sports romance, this book was a charming and enjoyable read. Sweet and funny. Good romance 4.5 It's a good romance, maybe a little plain and predictable in the first part by the false relationship between Jackson and Harper, as well as the risk of the hero losing custody of his son to his abominable ex-wife, but I liked a lot the second part, with reversals, surprising choices of the characters. In addition, the story is written in such a way as to be quickly additive to know the end. Jackson Haynes is in deep. His situation with his ex is so bad that providing for his son is becoming more and more difficult. When she sues for full custody, his situation becomes worse. When she finds out a big corporate owner and her movie star fiance are planning on marrying in town, she sees that as her big splash. After meeting the client Jackson Haynes is in deep. When she finds out a big corporate owner and her movie star fiance are planning on marrying in town, she sees that as her big splash. After meeting the client in a most unconventional way, she knows she needs a fiance or husband of her own to seal the deal. And who happens to be standing next to her in a very compromising position? Jackson Haynes. I adore this couple. They come from very similar backgrounds as children but Jackson has the added bonus of a very unlikable ex wife. They both keep their feelings and heart guarded by walls a thousand feet tall. Breaking through those walls is tough. They might just find themselves on the same side after all. I loved the romcom element of this book and was chuckling through a lot of it. The interactions with Jackson's son are sweet and show what kind of father Jackson is not to mention what kind of heart Harper has. I can't wait to read more from this series.

I Absolutely adored Dangle Ring’s storyline. I laughed, giggled and smiled throughout. The book is very well written and the characters were perfect - for both the storyline and each other. Harper is trying to land an heiress’s wedding and Jackson is trying to land an endorsement deal through the same heiress. Through a series of wildly funny events and several misunderstandings, Harper and Jackson end up engaged to be married. Well fake engaged but no one knows that but them. But one lie leads to another and things start to get wildly out of hand. Needless to say, this is a funny, romantic and heartfelt book that this reader calls a “must read”. Grab it up asap - you won’t be sorry you did. 2 Thumbs Up and 5+ Stars

Dangle the Ring is such a cute read. I loved this one so much. If you love single father, hockey, fake engagement romances then you are just going to fall in love with Jackson and Harper. Jackson will do anything for his son since his ex-wife is bleeding him dry. He doesn't always come off as a standup guy when he talks but he has this amazing heart that you will just love. A fun and easy story to read. Jackson is a hockey player and single father to his son Lucas. Harper is an event planner and trying to land a high profile client. Jackson is also interested in this client for an endorsement because he's struggling to make ends meet. They kind of get thrown together and their story really begins. Great characters and some fun banter between them. An enjoyable and steamy romance. A fun and easy story to read. Jackson is a hockey player and single father to his son Lucas. This is a fun, engaging, emotional best friends brother and fake relationship romance. All the characters in this book are likeable and add so much depth to Jackson and Harpers' story. Jackson and Harper are perfect for each other. Both have emotional baggage that they must overcome to be together. Love how well these two navigate the hurtles that get thrown at them.
