After spending half the night discussing the situation with Archie, Dave is determined to make sure that Wyatt is okay with what is developing. Both couples have open relationships, but Dave still feels the need to make absolutely sure that they are all on the same page. Wyatt is touched and amused by Dave’s concern, and assures Dave that he approves. Dave and Des have their first date, which goes very well indeed, but Dave then discovers that Archie didn’t have quite the same evening. Can Dave help Archie get what he needs and continue to explore his new relationship with Des? Mix and Mingle is a great story with wonderful characters and quite an interesting premise. Dave is different from all the other men in that he is not interested in a kinky lifestyle, and it adds a dynamic to the relationships he forms. Dave is extremely attracted to Des, and is willing to explore a relationship as long as it is understood that he is not submissive in any way. Although they don’t normally say it, Dave and Archie deeply love each other and Dave wants to make sure Archie is able to satisfy his desires for bondage play. These characters are truly fascinating and watching them navigate new relationships is engaging. I loved the honesty that Dave and Archie share, their ability to talk openly with one another. We get to see Dave with both Archie and Des in this story, and the nuances to each relationship are captivating. There are mentions of BDSM, as Des and Wyatt’s relationship is based on their Dom and sub connection, but there are no BDSM scenes in this story and it doesn’t play a role in Dave and Des’s relationship whatsoever. It is something that is talked about but not shown beyond Wyatt exhibiting respect at all times with downturned eyes and referring to Des as sir or Mr. Chase. This series is about the relationships between Dave and the others, which are most decidedly vanilla. This is the second is a Chaser series of three books. Although Owen provides enough detail that you can read this story on its own, I recommend starting with the first story Meet and Greet. Chaser series are always best enjoyed in order, and this is true of these stories as well. I am anxiously awaiting the third story as well as the next Chaser series about these same characters. This is a unique and intriguing series that is a must read!

This second installment takes a little twist when Des's partner, Wyatt is looking into Dave's partner, Archer. It hints at a little bit of kink, but keeps it all under wraps. Makes me want to read the next one to see if it does get kinky. This second installment takes a little twist when Des's partner, Wyatt is looking into Dave's partner, Archer. Part 2 of 3. Ends rather abruptly. The relationships continue to develop. Still less sex than I expected.
